Think the 8-beer challenge would be better served outside on a warm summer day, but to each their own. I like Even Keel, but I'm drinking Boat over all those beers you mentioned and not even thinking twice about it

Awesome of you to attempt and post but I will continue to say that the Kolsch-ness of Boat really puts it ahead of every other beer in its class. I think you just don't enjoy session ales @jojo2112 !

Cafe y Churro was one of my top 5 at EBF. Outstanding. Any NJ BAs with tips on where to pick some up?

Just this weekend I picked up a 4-pak of Boat at the brewery for $10. That seems affordable to me considering what else is out there in the market. Or maybe it's not affordable and I'm just numb to what I pay for beer.

    4 16oz Boat = 64 oz
    6 12 oz All Day/Even Keel = 72 oz

Most of those other Sessions are $10 or more so you're getting 8 more oz. Boat is always incredibly fresh too. It's far from a rip off and I hope it never becomes one. Both BOAT and 077xx are very fairly priced imo especially with the trend moving towards $16-20 4-packs

I suppose it's not horrible, but I can get RecreationAle/Even Keel/All Day/Daytime Fractional for $36-$38 a case, which works out to about 7.58 oz/dollar. A case of Boat at $60 is 6.4 oz/dollar. So I guess it's not horrible but I feel like a session shouldn't cost what some of the world class DIPAs cost (such as 077XX).

They don't. And I personally don't want 24 of any one beer. I like to drink different things, but thats just my persona preference. Hell I'm getting to the point where I don't even want 6-packs in liquor stores anymore for things like Nugget Nectar and the Ballast Point fruit series. Things I want to try but don't really want a whole 6-pack of, though I realize that isn't relevant to sessions. I'm good with 4 or 8 Boat but don't want 24 in the fridge unless I'm going to an event or something.

Yea I don't really get it. Thanks for keeping Boat at $10 and Dub at $13 and rewarding your loyal fanbase

My apologies, that shows how long it's been since I've been able to find ODub. Last time I bought some like 6 months ago I thought it was the same or close to Boat cost. I guess my point is that I'm willing to pay a premium for such a great world class DIPA like ODub, but as for sessions, unless it really knocks my socks off (the only one that's come close is Green Flash Citra Session), I'll probably just go the most economical/convenient route.

Also, let us not forget that Boat is in 16oz cans. 33% more liquid in that case

Did kegs go out yet? I haven't seen kegs of Regular Coffee or the variants around the city at all. I know Beer Belly in Albany got Churro though.

cans are gone. they were brewery only. I would imagine kegs will start popping up. doubtful most places will allow growlers as they probably arent getting a bunch of it.
