While the local option collaboration with central waters was good...it definitely is not hype worthy or waiting in line worthy...hoping this one is better?

Agreed. I really don't think this will be a big deal. BWs aren't PW's wheelhouse and i've never found a local option brewed beer or collaborated beer I liked much. Good for them for collaborating tho and I do really hope it's delicious. I just don't think anyone will be dive bombing LO for this.

Barrel aged murderous is good....but this one quotes a higher IBU...so hopefully it isn't a barrel aged bigfoot clone

Agree ba murderous is delicious, but all other murderous meh, and no doubt that BW aren't their bread and butter. This could be phenomenal just don't think it will be a madhouse at LO.

Perhaps I am misinterpreting, but Pipeworks is quite versed in barleywine.

Hell, I just drank a Santa vs. Unicorn, yesterday. Delicious beer!

I'm not interested in sitting in line for bottles, but would love to go there at lunchtime for some food and a couple beers on draft. It'll be interesting to see what the crowd is like for this upon opening.

-Imperial IPA brewed wit da good hops-
Hello! And welcome back spectators of this here epic battle! It's been a ruckus filled week! Wow, how about that move the Unicorns pulled?! Huh? How about that! IT WAS INCREDIBLE! Did you see what they did with their horns?! I'm sure you didn't miss it. But the Ninjas! Did you see what they did with their star shaped ninja weapons?!

What ever happened to Cinnamon Abduction? I can't find it on the batch list, and thought it would be out by now.

x2. I remember reading there was vanilla in there too. Hopefully the cinnamon makes for a big improvement over the vanilla abduction, which I thought was a huge miss (and I'm a PW fanboy).

Presumably dumped due to some problem? The official word was something along the lines of it being pushed back on the production schedule.

Sounds like you got a bad bottle of Vanilla - my wife and I shared one and it had a very significant vanilla flavor. My favorite variant to date (not including BA). Also was anticipating Cinnamon but apparently we'll be waiting awhile.

I didn't enjoy vanilla either - not a lot of vanilla (barely any) and a sharpness that made me think early infection or some other brewing issue - I guess there was a lot of bottle variation?

Was not dumped. We had fresh bourbon barrels to fill and it made it's way in there. It'll be back on schedule soon.

We always fill barrels in the beginning of the year and this year we're filling a lot!
