Just double-checking--what is the pickup policy for beers like Great Debate? If I order a couple as a HS member, how long do I have to pick them up?
    Thanks.

You have to pick it up by the first deadline. Which is sometime in late June/early July

Edit: First half of the years bottles need to be picked up before July 15th, 2016

Daylight day looks awesome. Hope some bottle fall through for Horizon members. Getting Drunken Mornings as a pre-order beer last year was awesome, and I think I am already busy that day...

    Update:

1 bottle of Drunken Morning is included in the 2016 membership. The remaining bottles will be available for sale the day of daylight day (similar to the resolute release)

"Daylight Cravings will be public only release. Some small amount may even make it out to accounts so if you miss, can't have someone else grab you a bottle etc etc there is still a chance.

No Drunken Mornings leaving the brewery. We expect bottle count to be somewhere around 800."

I'm hoping to be there, it's been far too long.

Based off of the website, I'm guessing there are no more bottles of Resolute available?

    Resolute bottles are sold out.

A new email went out yesterday. Appears some have not opened it yet (according to Bros). Link below as well as content.

    CHOCOLATE/MINT GREAT DEBATE
    1. The remaining bottles of Great Debate (Chocolate/Mint) are available first come, first serve on the web-store. We'll also have it on draft on Saturday (no 32oz fills). Chocolate Mint Great Debate turned out great, super thick chocolatey base with a nice background mint character. We used Chocolate Mint (the mint variety) which has a more subtle note to help blend the flavors. Grab the remaining bottles while they are available.

    2. Squealers are tentatively arriving next week so should be available for pickup on Daylight Day (no promises though).

    3. Final resolution on those that didn't order their squealers - We aren't going to order another round, there just aren't enough people that are interested to get to the minimum order quantity. With that said, we don't want you to miss out on the fills the whole year so here's the deal. We will issue a $25 gift card to the brewery to anyone that didn't order their squealer and contacts us at [email protected] to inform us that they didn't order and would like a gift card mailed to them. You must submit your email by 1600 EST on March 11th. This gift card is our way to offset your loss of the squealer. In addition you can get a 32oz fill at the brewery but must be there in person (or trustee) to get the fill. I.e. the advantage of the squealer was that we didn't have to look up folks every time and we could control the number of total fills based on the number of squealers out there. Since we don't have that ability with out controlling the growlers you'll have to be the person that gets the fill (or your trustee). Please do not take advantage of this! If anyone tries to scam the fills and get multiple with trustees etc we may be forced to close out your membership. We hope everyone understands the situation and works with us to move forward this year. To recap, if you got your squealer, anyone in possession can fill for you, makes it easy. If you didn't and you have to use a regular 32oz container, you or your trustee must get the fill.

    4. To schedule a pickup! Take a look at the membership info page (now would be a good time to re-read it all as well in case you missed something in the past). Here's a link.

    5. Drunken Mornings, in order to get your first included bottle of the year, head to the website and pre-order a bottle of Drunken Mornings (1 per person max) to get the bottle for free (included in membership). The reason you have to "purchase" the bottle is so that it is in the system and tracked. Sales will be open until the first Horizon pickup cutoff point (June 15th). There are not extras available to Horizon members through the website, any extras will be sold at the brewery on Daylight Day, do not order more than 1 bottle. You can review your orders under your account page!

    Cheers,

Following the Great Debate of 1920, we understood that the universe extended beyond the Milky Way. The facts from this Great Debate? A galactic imperial milk stout, with constellations of chocolate floating through space and time of rich creaminess, and a subtle background sweetness revolving around the beer’s solar system. Power up your taste boosters and explore the Great Debate. All systems are go.

This 2016 Horizon exclusive is aged on TCHO Ghana nibs and a blend of fresh mint and chocolate mint to tie together all the flavors.

Limit for pre-order: 2 bottles per person at $12 / bottle.
Pre-order over. Bottles now available first come first serve.
    Pickup date is 3/4/16

P.S. For those that like the artwork, our designer Matt made this one look like a NASA Patch, we're thinking of actually getting some patches made we think they turned out so well. Cheers!

We were so happy with our delectable breakfast stout that we decided to give it just a little more love. For those bolder breakfast aficionados, we aged our Daylight Cravings in oak bourbon barrels. Notes of vanilla and bourbon from the barrel blend seamlessly with the cold-brewed coffee and other classic flavors of a Southern morning to create one notably bold brew.

The 2016 version used Lucas Roasting coffee added after removed from the barrels as well as before (2015 only used the initial coffee add).

The reason you have to purchase the bottle is so that it is in the system and tracked.

Limit: 1 bottles per person at $0 / bottle (included in membership).
    Pickup date is 3/12/16

An extra addition of coffee for Drunken Mornings? Sign me up! Also looking forward to the Great Debate variant with coconut and vanilla.

Planning to make the trip up for Daylight Day this year. For folks that went last year, should I be expecting an early morning line for wristbands or is showing up closer to 10am sufficient in order to (hopefully) score a few more bottles?

Also, outside of maybe swinging by Pale Fire and Midtowne, any cool activities/must-visits in H-burg? Likely making the trip over to Shenandoah Nat'l Park on Sunday to hike off a hangover then swinging by C-ville on the way home.

Lots of great restaurants and bars in the downtown area. A new place called Ruby's Arcade just opened up downtown next to Clementine (same owners). Craft beer, wood fire pizza, duckpin bowling, ping pong, pool, etc. I haven't been yet, but plan to this weekend.

Wolfe Street is also making some really solid beer now that they hired a brewer from Wicked Weed. It's a cool location and worth checking out due to proximity alone. Snakeoil IPA is very tasty if you make it over there.

Definitely find a hike on Skyline Drive though. Let me know if you need recommendations for a good hike if you're looking for a specific distance or difficulty level. There's a hike for everyone in SNP.

This is the first year for Daylight Day, but I am not expecting a huge turnout. I would think showing up whenever you want will allow you to buy whatever you want.

I'll be there along with @kegnation and a couple other buddies coming down from the Incestchester, WV and MD areas...not staying the nite, did that all weekend for resolute weekend and don't think my body can handle another round, also was in NJ for business last week and grabbed an ass ton of Carton...and partied way too much last week, I'm getting too old for this shit, you kids get off my lawn!

Last year was pre-daylight day? First round of HS bottles to be picked up, and it was COLD, good times, but not nearly the draft lineup that is for this year.

We'll be there before 10 in line, and I want to get home before it gets dark as well...now to figure who is gonna drive back? My money is on not me...
