Bud down 31%, Sam Adams up 46%

Can't wait for what BS the Budweiser Super Bowl ad is going to conjure up. I'm grinding my teeth already.

 

Sam Adams is answering to the public by making exceptionally good produciton IPA and Pale Ales...

I really would like to see the Rebel Series beers in a blind tasting, I think they would score reasonable well. They are surprisingly good for Sam Adams product.

 

The hypocrisy is off the charts.

Yeah, that ad really relies on the target market not realizing things that are pretty easy to verify - that they are not American owned, that they have bought craft breweries, and that they produce fruit flavored beers.

 

If you can't brew it, buy someone who can!

 

They can brew it - certain Goose Island beers are being brewed at AB facilities. They just want the established/separate brand names, so that consumers are more likely to purchase.

 

Maybe 2008 because that's when the global economy went to hell and they're measuring from the bottom of the curve. Lots of stock analysis is done this way.

 

I'm thinking that they ran the figures for a number of years and picked the one that made the strongest case for their point.
