5 and a half hours til the brewpub opening! Won't be able to attend today but hopefully they run some late weekend hours so I can check it out

 

Have never been down to Italian Village, is it full of campus students or is that too far south for them to venture? Parking is street only?

 

It's not a lot of students. I've never had a problem parking there, but I usually go to Seventh Son and Fox in the Snow, both have lots.

St James is a solid dive bar between HH and Seventh Son. They usually have a pretty good draft list with fair prices. Bodhi, Hopslam and Ten Fidy pouring there now. They don't open until 7 PM on the weekend.

 

People going / there now, would you mind reporting just how crazy it is? eg how long to get a drink, are they at capacity (and doing one-in-one out), what wrestling match is on tv, and so on?

 

Someone just posted on Facebook that they were 20th person in line at 3:32pm....so not so so crazy

Note, too, for anyone coming into town to check out the new place, it's a straight shot down 4th/Summit to Wolf's Ridge and (on Saturday) Elevator's tap room.

 

Pretty packed but not bad if you don't mind standing. Only took me 5 minutes from walking in to having a drink in my hand.

 

Just left, really thinned out. Now would be a good time to stop by.... Cheese was good as well as great beer.

Yes - I was there about 10:30 last night and blabe, everybody, wet when slippery, and plutonium were all out.

Well that sucks, not sure it's even worth going 2.5 hours to visit tonight now. Wasn't it the everybody wants some citra version? I was looking forward to trying that alongside wet when slippery and enjoying a Blabe or 2.
