All the suburban binnys by me got shut out too. I was told only half the stores got any at all, so I guess that means most of the city stores, and a couple of the biggest suburban ones. It was allocated on Deschutes volume I believe.

Hard Pass at $30. Im sure they are good but that is double what all of their other BA beers cost.

Not saying this to stir the pot, but in all seriousness, I really hope the Cognac and Rye variants don't have the strong metallic taste that this years regular Abyss has. I prefer Abyss fresh and usually disregard their "best after a year" bologna, but this years bottle was borderline undrinkably. Mouth full of nickles. Anyone popped a Cognac or Rye yet by any chance?

I had it on tap last weekend and both were amazing, although Rye was more amazing.

Was Algonquin actually shut out, or did they just not get it yet? New releases are notoriously later to drop out that way in McHenry Co.

I am on pretty good terms with a couple of the beer guys and manager and they told me yesterday they found out they were not allocated any, same guys that will pull and hold stuff for me without me asking so tend to beleive them.

Arlington Heights Binny's said they did not receive any of the Variants. They do still have The Abyss non-variant available.
