Cycle/ccb bottle releases

The bottle that's part of the ticket price for Cycle's BA Day in March.

Anybody know if CCB Dirge is a brand new release? Picked up a crowler Tuesday and it's a real solid double porter. Nothing earth shattering, but another solid offering.

 

It's been out a couple/few weeks. So ... "Brand new"? No. Older than Tuesday.
"New"? Yes.

 

According to Cycle's FB page: "we will not be doing bottles at noon each day, too many lines and the block got pretty antsy by Friday. It is likely we will open early, possibly as early as 11 each day but definitely not bottles at open. More details when we figure them out."

With the release of Wicked Dolphin's Brewer's Series, Cigar City will be releasing bottles of Da un Beso a la Bottela with Wicked Dolphin Rum, in a very limited release at selected stores.

 

Picked up the bourbon barrel big sound last week and am wondering if I should drink it now of put in cellar......any suggestions for sweet spot?

 

Have you had it before?

 

I've had it at various points up to a year. The age didn't change it much.

 

I opened a 2014 Ba big sound last week. It was great, a little less heat than fresh and some of the sweetness of the beer had mellowed. Definitely a bit different than fresh, but aged really well...always good to have 2, one for now and one to age. It's still in the cooler

 

Any chance BA big sound makes it until Mid-March?

It's being distributed, so you may find it other places besides the taproom.

 

Any idea where can I find some? I'm in town for a couple of days and missed it.

 

If you're willing to spend $50, you can find box sets. BA BS bottle & 2 glasses. I know they can be found at Total Wines, not sure about other bottle shops though. Cheers!

 

Exactly right - $30 for the bottle and $10 each for the new barrel aged series glass.

 

Thanks for the pic. Hadn't actually seen it yet. Fairly steep price, but probably worth it for out of towner's that are looking for the glasses as well. I may pick up a box and split it with a buddy. I definitely don't need 2 more glasses....at least that's what my wife tells me.

 

Anyone have an update of cycle ba day tickets and when they will sell them on Tuesday?

Have they even confirmed that they are on sale on the 16th?
