Im drinking the new Sierra Nevada Beer Camp. All new to me. The Floral tastes like Two Heareted and if you say it doesn't you are lying to yourself. So far the best one in the series. The Imperial Red tastes terrible compared to Tocabaga or other red's I have had. The Imperial Pilsner is much better than Prima Pils. All in all a great Beer Camp! Cheers!!

My brother stopped by with a sixer family pack from Shiner and this is what I made the mistake of trying.

So after that disappointment I grabbed this one out of the fridge to give a go.

Was almost certain that I would enjoy this one after going to a sour tasting and really enjoying what was offered.

I was wrong, said in my review that I wouldn't buy this again but I probably will in a couple of years to see if I changed my mind at all.

    >>>>>> New Gose Sunday <<<<<<

First ever Gose for me, so it was interesting. Marionberry Hibiscus Gose from Widmer.

A little like a fruit punch in so many ways. I think I'd like to try a more traditional and authentic Gose, without the berry flavoring.

It was a pale red color and I really should have posted a picture. I upgraded to the Galaxy S3 last month, so I ought to be able to do that, just haven;t had the time to sit down and learn my new phone. Maybe when the bad weather hits?

Seasonal here in the Columbia Basin, sunny, with some haze in the air and temps in the mid 80's.

    Happy Trails.

*** New Belgian IPA Sunday ***

Greetings NBS. An amazing end of summer day here in Southern CT. I could use a few more of these. Spent plenty of time with work around the house and taking care of some back to school errands.

This has been a great NBS thread so far. Lots of good stuff out there. A buddy of mine picked me up a solid 6 pack of miscellaneous Midwest brews in his travels. This is the first I sampled:

I'm looking forward to saving the rest over the next several NB Sundays.

    Happy NBS to all...
Beautiful day here on Long Island, upper 70's with lower humidity.
My only new beer for today was from the Sam Adams Fall mix pack.

I sheepishly submit another new beer this Sunday.
I can't even give it the proper heading, as it is suppose to be a Belgian Pale Ale, but it holds few qualities that would resemble that style, in particular no discernible yeast characteristic. Kinda' nice and soft malt flavors, but that doesn't make it a Bel. pale ale.

Here in Spokane, there's been lots of smoke in the air from the fires, yet oddly enough last Mon or Tues it rained like crazy, complete with disconcertingly close lightning.

I'll have to try that BdeG. Funny you consider Iron Horse from eastern WA, as I think of it as from central WA (E-burg's nearly 3 hours away from here). I guess damn near everything is east of you, though.

    Good evening, NBSers,

In the 70s right now in the city that was originally Spokan Falls. I spent most of the weekend at the parental palace in the Tri-Cities, where I made use of the old man's backyard shop to do some automotive maintenance and accompanied the folks on a hike that turned out to be way more walking than someone with a torn meniscus should be doing.

My first beer after driving the 150 miles or so back to my place (after scrubbing off the insect corpse carpet that used to be my front windshield) was an Imperial IPA from Alameda:

Even accounting for it being a little old, it was a little bit bland. I'll give it another go sometime, and if a fresh one is better, I'll change the review.

My new beer yesterday was the Alpine/New Belgium collaboration Super IPA. This was a very reasonable bomber at $6.99, and was a departure from what I typically seem to spend on bottles. Really nice resinous, dank, and fresh hoppy flavor and aroma. I really enjoyed this one. At 9%, the alcohol is well-hidden. I would recommend this beer and would certainly pick it up again!

Yeah, when you live about 6 blocks from the Sound, pretty much the rest of America is East of ya. E-burg is certainly Central, when your local college has a rodeo team, ya might be rural. I like it over there and don't get over as often as I'd like to. That fire by Cle Elum was certainly stubborn, though it seems they've got it under control now.
