Why the three day spread between local areas within a 20 mile radius?

 

That I'm not sure. I'm just guessing it has to do with normal delivery schedules. A lot of places I talked with (Plymouth/Minnetonka) said either Friday for sure or Friday maybe. Not all places were sure they were getting it.

 

Are you sure it wasn't the DVDADB version?

 

There are a lot of liquor stores to deliver to in the Metro! I actually appreciate that the western suburbs get deliveries late in the week because the truck chasers have often already gotten their fix hitting the shops with deliveries early in the week.

 

I agree with that, there seems to be infinite zeal and stamina amongst the truck chasers the first half of the first day that quickly drops out in exchange for apathy, followed by acceptance, making amends, and after that there's usually something else that dropped and a newfound zeal and stamina to chase another day.

 

That or they can't afford to take a second sick day at work in the same week. Gotta save some days for other chases!

 

Is this hitting the Rochester area?

 

FWIW I drank one last night and thought it was wonderful. Will be grabbing a couple more to send off to regular trading buddies

You sound as if you can just walk into a shop and find at will. Please teach how's it's done!

 

It maybe location based, I believe he is in Grand Rapids. Guessing the hunt isn't as furious there as it is in the Twin Cities.

 

Haha yes I'm in grand rapids. It's nice that I don't have to go on 'the hunt' but I'd gladly trade that for access to a wider variety

 

Apparently this went out at TW Maple Grove on wed. This release is absolutely bonkers - if you work a typical 8-5, at least you have a chance to score if it's released all at a specific day / time, but the randomness of DSDB is frustrating.

 

Agreed - I know I mentioned Friday before for West burbs and that's what I was told. It will be interesting to see what actually happens, especially when places like Haskell's Mpls posted on Twitter early in the week that they would get it Friday. Yesterday that changed and they said they would not be getting it any longer:

I made a couple of lunch hour runs and was shut out. No more chasing of this one for me. Last night I consoled myself with a Central Waters Brewers Reserve Bourbon Barrel Barleywine (as a certified member of the SEA, I, of course, type out the name!)

When I checked Tuesday, the people at Westside Liquor in Waite Park thought it would arrive today. I'll know more at 8 tonight.
