Nope, I am referring to the bourbon barrel aged version. It's really, really good.

Is that sold in single cans? And can you find it at stores, or just at the brewery? Thanks.

At the brewery, yeah, or up here in Fort Collins at Craft Beer Cellar. Will have some more on Thursday.

Liquid Brain has been delayed to give it more barrel time. It'll be released in December for the Christmas Party! I am kinda bummed but it's cool that they aren't releasing the beer until it's ready.

Had some Bourbon Barrel Coffee Addition last night at Under the Sun (I heart Stout Month!) and found it to be tasty. It's not earth shattering, but pretty nice stuff with a smooth, strong coffee flavor and milder barrel notes.

I had it at Vine St Tuesday and still really liked it. But I do remember it having a little more coffee and bourbon in previous years.
Keep your eye out for Bourbon Aged Chocolate Thunder. Last year's was fantastic.

Man I was hoping it was soon. But I'd rather wait and have it right.
I have friends from Vegas visiting this weekend and my last '13 and '14 are going to be gone. I'll be Brain-less ... more so than usual.

I gotta admit, the oak aged stout is growing on me. I'm at the end of the four pack, and wish it was sold as a sixer. It's really oaky, but once you get used to it, quite tasty.

I found the bourbon barrel finkel and garf imperial stout at Three Rivers in Longmont. Also picked up a couple of The Commodore on sale.

They use French oak in that one. Love French oak.

Had it last night and totally agree! One of the best I've had in awhile.

I have, and I found it very light on the barrel character.

I had it - bought 2 - first one I split 3 ways and it was intense but we all liked the experience and were glad to have tried it. Second one I opened on my own, drank a 3rd and drain poured the rest as it was just too much. So by my exhaustive scientific process just under 1/3 of a stovepipe is the right dosage for maximum enjoyage. Hope that helps :-)

Slight sidetrack but I am eagerly anticipating BBA Old Chub. I feel like that is going to be a tasty beer.

Seriously, I don't understand why they're barrel-aging a double ipa most people seem to hate when they could basically be knocking out a local competitor to Backwoods Bastard.

Our Mutual Friend released Thanatoid today: RIS 7mo in Leopold barrels. They describe it as "viscous", I find it thin for what I like my RIS's to be. But the flavor was good, strong bourbon, a little sweetness.
It might actually be better in a few months, but I don't think I will let it sit longer than that.
