Good morning BA, have a great Saturday! It’s a bitter cold one out there this morning, it only took 3 months for winter to show up, haha

Finishing off the last of this 4 pack, got one left til I go to Ohio for the upcoming holidays. Still tasting awesome from the December batch. Juicy hop flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, mango, pineapple, lemon/orange peel, and pine; with some light caramel/bready malt balance and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Aggressive pine/citrus rind bitter, dry, and sticky/resinous finish. Always love it.

This is an excellent English winter warmer. Big flavors of raisin, plum, fig, cherry, pear, apple, caramel, brown sugar, molasses, toasted biscuit, and light nutty/roast maltiness; with moderate herbal, floral, pepper, piney hop notes; with a bit of yeasty earthiness. Light-medium pine/spicy bitterness; with a very smooth finish with balanced creaminess and hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Just all around great complexity and balance of yeast, malt, and hop flavors right now after 4-5 months from bottling. It has mellowed out nicely on the hops now, was a bit strong on the hop character when I reviewed it initially. I look forward to aging some as well. Still plenty on the shelf still, so I have no problem drinking the ones I already have. Will definitely be buying more.

Absolutely insane as usual. Flavors of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, toffee, molasses, chili pepper, toast, dark bread, and light dark fruit/smoke/charred notes. Moderate amount of pepper spice and roasted bitterness on the finish; with a fantastic flavor balance all around; bittersweet roasted finish as well. Full bodied with a big creamy/silky and lightly slick mouthfeel; with balancing spice stickiness and lightly chalky roasted character. Very well hidden ABV with only a small lingering warmth.I love chili beers and this hits all the right notes. It has a nice amount of chili pepper flavors with minimal associated heat; though I do enjoy the hot ones sometimes too(see: Habanero Sculpin). Glad to have this as shelf beer all the time now.

Always world class! Huge flavors of caramel, toffee, toast, brown bread, molasses, light chocolate, raisin, plum, bourbon, oak, vanilla, and coconut. Balancing bourbon/oak spiciness against the sweetness. Very smooth sipping with a creamy/slick mouthfeel and finish. Low alcohol warming on the finish for 12%. I still can’t decide if I love this or backwoods more. The malt and barrel balance/integration is insane. I am down to my last bottle of a 4 pack I bought last summer, will definitely be on the lookout for another pack. BBA Siberian Night has been really easy to find recently.

Wild Beer Co. Wild Goose Chase (Somerset, England) - a Saison/Pale Ale hybrid really. I think it might be an old bottle/bad batch - it has a vague tartness, dry but with a dull malt taste and a short finish. No head but quite pale and cloudy. A shame as these guys are usually spot on with the funky yeast driven beers.

Billericay Brewing Co. (Essex, England) Billericay Zeppelin - another flat one, this time a lacklustre English pale ale, bit of caramel and biscuity malts, some fruity hops with a hint of spice and a dash of smoke. Glad I tried this local brewery but they need to work on their quality control.

Hello BAs. About zero degrees here this morning. Definitely stout weather so it's a Hipster Brunch to start things off. Eggs and hash browns coming up.

NP: Big Big Train, an excellent prog band.

    Cheers!

Good Morning BAs. A big weekend on tap here. Going to view an open house for a condo in my neighborhood this morning then hitting the road to Grand Rapids, Michigan to see my father in law and spend some quality time hanging with him.

Decided a Hipster Brunch Stout would be the ideal morning kickoff

    Happy Saturday all

Rise and shine. interesting double: coffee, cocca nibs, and peppers. Not sure if a double is really the right vehicle for all these adjuncts
