After the citra canning I think the next one is Everybody Wants Their Own Personal Hoof Hearted.

I'm not surprised kegs kicked yesterday but I also wouldn't doubt that they've got more kegs to throw on through the weekend. With the place packed nuts to butts I'm sure they didn't want to mess around with changing kegs out while plenty of other taps were pouring. EWS Centennial is a "brewpub opening exclusive" and I would be very surprised if they only brewed a keg-sized batch.

Lol same. Depending on how many beers I have there maybe I'll drunkenly buy one on my way out. Unwise decisions become easier to justify as the night goes on.

Stopped into the new location today. It's probably the most hipster place I've ever been. Maybe I'm just being a negative nancy but can't see myself ever coming back. I enjoy the Marengo scene much more.

Wet When Slippery is expected to be finished in about two weeks. Was not on tap for the opening.

Everybody Wants Some is still on tap as of tonight, as is Plutonium, and the Everybody Wants Some is centennial- not citra.

    Blabe has kicked.

Guest taps tonight were Jackie O's Bourbon-Barrel Coffee & Vanilla Dark Apparition and Hanssens Oude Gueuze.

They're currently brewing a hibiscus gose.

Between the menu and look....doesn't seem like the Hoof style I was expecting (personally). Expected more of a dive bar with low lights, Slayer blasting on the speakers, some offensive imagery on the walls and burgers and BBQ.

I still love Hoof (and haven't visited the brewpub yet myself), but just the way it feels.

It's the location. They're probably at about the best part of town for a brewpub economically, but 4th St & E. 1st Ave. isn't the area for what you described IMO. They have to appeal to the immediate surrounding neighborhoods too.

Oh I'm sure you're right. Not familiar with the area (live in Cleveland, not Columbus) at all and have no idea what it's like. I was just describing what I thought a Hoof Hearted brewpub would be like based on the attitude and style those guys have.

This made me laugh a little. My thoughts instantly went to "Hey manager this keg just kicked" "Ohhh we are way to busy to change kegs right now".... Do we know what size of brewing setup they have in the kitchenpub? Based on the hype and demand for the beer I could see them running into supply and command issues

Parking behind the pub in the parking lot. There are 60 dedicated spots, I believe.

St James Tavern is just north on the left side of the street. Just past Fox in the Snow Cafe. The James has been serving "No crap on tap" since 1996 before anyone who wasn't a brewpub. 13 taps, the best prices, period! And killer juke box with two pool tables, local artist featured on the walls, and killer import bottle program.

Hoof Hearted is a great addition to the neighborhood. Respect St James which was the first business to recognize the working class, artistic community of Italian Village... I guess working class is no longer applicable with the rents/home pricing hitting upper levels.

7pm Saturday and Sunday. 4pm Monday to Friday. Awesome bar and definitely a very polished dive bar. Great, friendly patrons seeking out the best 13-tap system found in Ohio with a kickass bottle/package program to back it up

More hipster than Seventh Son? That would be quite an achievement.

Just curious, but have you visited the Four String taproom on 6th? You might find the vibe more "Hoof style" than the new Hoof location. Plus, about 16 beers on tap, terrific happy hour prices, and a food truck. I love the place.

Seems that they never tapped wet when slippery, hopefully this will be available in the near future

No I haven't. Live in Cleveland and don't really drive to Columbus often. Sounds like I'll have to check it out sometime. Thanks man!

Ehh, I'll be the other side of the coin that says don't waste your time. Outside of some of the variants from that first bottle release a while ago I haven't been impressed with them. To each his own.

Havent been to Seventh Son so can't compare HH to there but I'll take your word for it.

All I know is that I felt like I had just visited SoDoSoPA.
