KBS Week 2016 (Mar 7-12)

April 1st in PA can't get here soon enough. Maybe this is the year I' ll finally get some kbs.

 

I'm going to try to get tickets, but there are many other beers that have passed KBS in my opinion. It's still a good beer, but there are many other ba stouts that are better. If I don't get any this year, I won't be sad.

 

Isn't the so called "KBS killer" already out?

 

Tickets sold out in less than 60 seconds.

 

Persistence pays off...kept refreshing for 15 minutes and (finally) got a Tuesday ticket. Third year in a row! Now, if they just serve CBS again during KBS Week...

 

Now that Founders distributes here you have a chance. There were some bottles around last year bit I just missed them - damn still want to try that beer!

 

I refreshed right at 11 saw all days available and got my Friday MO problem.

 

If anything like NC, fairly small allocations on the order of a handful of cases (sometimes 1 or 2) to most places. Good luck!

 

Got myself and wife tickets for Saturday...refreshed once at 1059:59

 

I got a ticket for Friday but my hubby didn't. Can we both still go into founders and drink? I realize I'm the only one that can get the 3 4 packs though. I think we're planning to stay overnight Saturday. Any recommendations of other breweries in the area to visit?

 

Does anyone know when it'll make it's way to NYC?

 

The bottle pickup is at a side door completely inaccessible from the taproom. The taproom operates under normal conditions. The only way you know it's KBS Week is by the signs directing people to the bottle pickup door.

 

Grand Rapids might have a place or two for you to check out while you are there.

Always looking for it but, never have had the privelage of trying it. I go through a lot of Breakfast Stout and Porter.

With only recent distribution to California, its possible to find KBS still sitting in some places fridges. Hard to believe, but frankly since i've collected a few, don't need more. Its good, loads of flavor but when drank back to back with BCBS it feels thin. Interested in trying this years batch for comparison.

 

ABV appears to be up slightly this year to 12.4%. I wonder how that will affect states like OH?

Pretty pumped for the abv change actually. Last years batch was the best it's been since '12, and I'm hoping the trend continues!
