Hi all, Me and a mate are coming to Denver on Feb 18th and need a good (ie. tap list) bar to watch the footy - by that I mean soccer - the Europa League games to be specific (come on you Reds). And I know there are other threads but if anyone has beer bars I MUST go to, please let me know! Gutted that PTY is due to arrive on Feb 20th at the Falling Rock - the day I leave Colorado darn it! Cheers
Gonna put a mention in for Sobo 151, a Czech bar that shows all the soccer. I'm a fan of their food (I like the authentic dishes, but have no idea how they would stack up for someone who is an experienced connoisseur of Czech/Bavarian food), they have some Czech and German beers on tap and some craft bottles, nothing that's gonna blow your mind but better beer selection then the other pubs listed in here. Also for the "big games" it's not a crowded clusterfuck like 3 Lions or the Bulldog. I'm claustrophobic, so I like that
I'm partial to British Bulldog as an Arsenal Fan. Three Lions is more of a Man City place. But since those teams are in the Champions league, not Europa, you won't have to worry about rubbing elbows with us...
Cheers for the advice all - think we'll head to the Abbey Tavern first and then maybe one of the others if that's flat. YNWA
Hi all - two years later and I'm coming back; we did the Abbey last time which was cool. Same Spurs-supporting mate, same request - where are the best places for the footy? We're there the weekend of Jan 27th - so want somewhere to watch the Liverpool and Spurs FA Cup matches on the Saturday. We're staying near City Park. Also, any good pool (snooker?!) halls?? Cheers!
Three lions has a few booths where you can pour your own beers as well, if I remember correctly they have Carlsberg, Guinness, Fullers, and a cider on tap...three lions also technically happens to be a Arsenal bar just as a heads up
