Smog City Appreciation

Was still on when I was there around 3 today (Sat). Per untappd still on

 

Yup, drank it at about 7pm last night. Tasting mighty fine.

 

I had a taster of IW on release day and thought it was great. I opened my first bottle last night and good God. This is drinking damn near perfect right now.

 

Anyone going to the Cuddlebug release tomorrow?

I plan on getting there a bit before opening, gotta get them cuddles.

 

Yep, going early, hoping to beat tbe rush and quaff a couple of Snugglebugs.

So uh Snugglebug was ridiculous.

 

Snugglebug blew Cuddle out of the water, which a year ago I didn't think would be possible

 

Anyone tried the Ch'nook? It blew by the time I got there and I don't feel like opening my bottle of it just yet. My plan of making it before opening was thwarted by an accident on the 101.

 

Actually had it a couple days ago! While its a good sour, as you would expect, it did not blow me away like Snugglebug/Cuddlebug did. Both of those guys had really awesome jammy and fleshy peach flavors, respectively, that made them huge hits for me. The cranberries gave the beer an astringent bitterness and tartness that i was not too big on. Who knew that lower count bottle doesnt necessarily correlate with a better beer? Haha

 

I finally tried Snugglebug on friday. Wow. I was really impressed and I'm not a huge sour guy. Actually liked it more than Cuddlebug.
Tart Cherry Paper Airplane was really good as well.

 

When I picked mine up they urged me to drink it NOW. The dry hopping was fading fast. I didn't have as much overt tart when I had it. The hops helped. Maybe they did die super fast...

PURCHASING DETAILS:
**$14 per bottle (500ml), 4 bottle limit per person**

Online bottle sales will begin on Tuesday, March 8th at 12pm and will end Friday, March 18th at 12pm (24 hours before release) or when bottles are sold out.


PICKUP DETAILS (Starting March 19th):
Purchased bottles will be available at Smog City's Tasting Room starting on Saturday, March 19th at 12pm and available through Sunday, April 17th, plus the beer will be available on draft beginning the day of the event. If we do not sell out online, bottle sales to the general public will begin Sunday, March 20th.

Anyone try Brix Layer yet? Looks like it was pouring at Festival of Funk this past weekend. Curious how it compares to something like Confession or Feral Vinifera
