Sunday morning stout

They will get some. Within the next week or so, I was told. That's Wegman's SEPA.

 

If anyone finds any at KoP or Collegeville, please post. I stopped myself from driving up to Easton yesterday for it, hoping to pick up a 4 pack or two.

 

Not sure about the Wegmans stores in PA, but the Wegmans stores in NJ definitely get it, and they normally just sit on the shelf (if it's anything like last year). Will probably pop up either this week or the following couple of weeks.

 

Unless they made a huge amount more than last year I doubt they'll sit on shelves this year. This beer came as a surprise to me and I think a lot of people. By the time I was able to try one I couldn't find it anywhere to get my hands on any.

 

They did make more this year

 

yeah I know but still be surprised if its sitting on shelves. I already planned ahead and got myself a case

 

I spoke to two wegmans near me and they both said they expect it within a week.

 

PA - tomorrow expect it

 

It flew under the radar when released last year, but once people caught wind of the beer it flew off the shelves. With that said i'm sure this year will require you to get it relatively soon after deliveries.

 

I don't care if they made more, I have a feeling it won't be like last year when I bought my 4-pack the last week of March.

Also, does anyone else find it a bit strange that Weyerbacher bottled and released this within a few days? I feel like most of the big dogs in the BA stout game let it sit for a month or so in the bottles.

 

It really depends on the Wegman's. Ones in SEPA will most likely have it. Places west of there, like Mehcanicsburg most likely won't get it, just like they don't get Tango or Riserva.

 

You probably answered your own question with that last statement. Weyerbacher is not Founders or Goose Island and not really one of the "big dogs" in the BA stout game. I am always amazed when I go there how small an operation it is in terms of size and # of employees considering how much beer they seem to pump out.

Friend tried the Malvern Wegman's yesterday, they said to expect it today. I'm heading to the Collegeville one in about an hour.
