I bought two bottles of the PnB Holy Cacao. Drank one on the spot with a buddy, and sold the other one to a dude who got there a bit late and missed out. The base beer is pretty decent, and this version smelled nice--definitely a noticeable peanut butter smell, but the mouthfeel was much thinner than I was hoping for, and the overall taste was quite sweet cocoa with a hint of peanut butter. I'm a fan of Eudoras--been going since they opened, and this beer was OK, just not something to get too excited about.

From what I heard it was the rep who put it out on the shelves not the store employees. They were told they are getting more from the rep, guess we'll see.

The addition of the peanut butter wouldn't surprise me if that was the cause of the thinner mouthfeel due to the oil content in it. And honestly, the base beer is pretty sweet. Hopefully the peanut butter isn't as artificially sweet like Sweet Baby Jesus is.

I didn't think there was any artificial taste--seemed pretty natural. I would've liked a bit more PnB flavor. Neil at Eudora has improved the base milk stout quite a bit since he first started brewing it. It used to taste like powdered cocoa. Now it has real cocoa nibs with none of that powdered taste, IMO.

I stopped by Ollie's Place this morning to pick up a 4-pack of We'll do it Live. Gus (the manager) said Hop Juju arrives tomorrow. I'm clearing a shelf in my fridge now.

Springfield Ohio brewery update excited as it gets closer to completion

Game-changer’ brewery applies for liquor license

2:28 p.m. Feb. 15 by Mark Fisher / Staff Writer

The new brewery proposed for 109 W. North St. in downtown Springfield has filed an application with the Ohio Department of Commerce Division of Liquor Control for a license to brew, serve and sell beer.

The application, filed Feb. 10, represents another sign of progress for a $2.5 million project that Center City Association Executive Director Bill Harless called “a game-changer for downtown” when plans first emerged in March 2015.

Kevin Loftis, one of the brewery’s founders, said today that he is shooting for a late-May opening, depending on the timeline of obtaining federal and state licenses and permits.

With an eye toward irony, the brewery will be called “Mother Stewart’s Brewing Company,” named for Eliza Daniel (“Mother”) Stewart, one of the leaders of the temperance movement in the Springfield and Xenia area in the late 1800s, Loftis said. She is buried in Springfield.

The project received a 10-year, 60-percent property tax abatement from the city of Springfield in September 2015. Developers will spend an estimated $1.3 million on building improvements to the space and $800,000 on equipment, according to public documents.

Loftis and his father Tom Loftis have been spearheading the project. Last September, Tom Loftis told the Springfield News-Sun that four to five flagship beers will be introduced at the microbrewery, which would eventually include a tap room and outdoor beer garden. In the future, the brewery could include event space, developers said.

The brewery is expected to have about four employees the first year and about seven by the end of the second year with an annual payroll of about $200,000.

Kevin Loftis earned a diploma in brewing studies from the Chicago-based Siebel Institute of Technology in 1997.

A vacant building being put back into productive use will be a good project for the community, particularly the downtown area, Deputy City Manager Bryan Heck said in September.

Some folks that previously announced they would be selling Juju in bottles tomorrow have now recanted. Odd, to say the least.

opinions vary widely , especially about where I'm going to suggest:

ANY time I go to Cleveland (like today!) I stop at Willoughby brewing for the Peanut Butter Porter and the Chicken Spring Rolls

even going to the Great Lakes event some days ago, I still stopped at Willoughby first
