honestly, this sounds much better than another Beer Works. I haven't been to Copper House Tavern in quite a while, but it's a step in the right direction.

Never been to Copper House, but excited there will be another place Moody other than The Gaff and Bison County that offers a good variety of taps.

48 draft lines actually, New England focused (expect there to be a few BW beers on). Menu is going to be very farm to table and ever changing.

Every time I read, "Farm to table" this immediately translates to "Expensive and small portions" from personal experience in Somerville/Cambridge.

Fresh and local is just not for beer. Support your local farmer.

I apologize, I don't fully understand your point. I have no issue with supporting local brewer's and farmer's (although I don't go out of my way to do so, if I like a product, I'll buy it...simple as that).

I made my comment because I've frequented numerous "critically acclaimed" restaurants that tout "farm to table" and I feel as if they use it as an excuse to jack up prices, make the plate look all pretty, and downsize portions.

I've also eaten at places that claim to have fresh, local, ingredients that, while not exactly cheap, weren't insanely priced, and I at least leave full.

Another step in the fancification of Waltham. Sweet?

The fancification of Waltham started 20 years ago, with varying degrees of success. As someone who remembers it being a shady experience walking down Moody St., I welcome the changes.

I never remembered moody st being shady. Maybe some drunks stumbling around near the Vous. I used to hang out near Woolworth's and throw change at cars because that was the only thing to do in Waltham.

While hardly shady, indefinitely wouldn't describe Moody St as "fancy". 60% of that street is still foreign markets, bodegas, local drunk tanks and various other rat hole establishments most folk wouldn't go near.

In A Pickle is solid, no so much for beer, but for Snickers pancakes.

Has anyone been to BW lately and tried the Equinox DIPA? What a great beer that was. That Framingham spot pumps out some great beers. Does anyone know does each location brew specific recipes? I know people are pretty down on them but I've been impressed with Framingham and don't hesitate to stop in there for a beer.

That Equinox dipa is seriously legit. Hazy juicy goodness. I too wondered if it was a Framingham-only beer. The recent contender on cask dry hopped with rakau was insanely good too.

So glad you dug the Equinox! I have on good authority that beer was brewed in Framingham...since I brewed it. I did send it out to every other BW so it should be on at every location at least until the end of this month.

Latest batch of Contender is totally legit. The new Helles Lager is terrific too.
Great to see BW put out some great beers despite some recent Brewer turnover.

Looking forward to BeerWorks Burlington (MA) in near future too, initial plans were for a small pilot/one off/creative brewery there - in addition to Contender & the solid lagers BW putting out too.
