I voted for mosaic in the poll, but would give a big shoutout to citra, galaxy, and cascade. I do love a good c hop ipa as well.

Because people don't really appreciate the subtle and delicate floral flavors in beers anymore. It's all about seeing who can pack the most citrus, tropical fruit, bitter, hop-bomb beer into a bottle, raffling them off on BPT, and trading them as "whalez bro".

    2012ers. AMIRITE?

I picked other. And shocking turn of events ive taken a hop off my "do no consume list" ( no its not a hard fast rule but there are hops i dont enjoy)
Columbus. Used to for me be a piney resiny mess of a hop hopefully enjoyed in small doses or late/dry hop additions; now i adore when used correctly for its balance between bracing pine and dank and the bright citrus/grapefrurity aroma.

Summit is still on my list of hops that ive dub'd "please no, not in this beer"

Love fresh Citra hopped beers, my favorite beers usually are all or a combo of Citra. I also like Chinook, Lawson's Chinookered is terrific. Also like Simcoe and or Mosaic as a combo hop, I don't like them as a single hop beer.

Whichever contributes the most pine. Sadly I don't care to look at the names of the hops when I drink. I assume Chinook?

Mosaic, closely followed by Citra, Centennial, and Simcoe.

And yeah, I was going to say, there's going to be a lot of people who are going to be upset that Cascade, Centennial, and Simcoe aren't listed.

Galaxy today, but ask me again tomorrow and I'll probably give you a different answer.

For me, Citra is a terrible hop to put in beer (especially in over-hopped American styles), but judging from the above it is very good business...

It's really close between Citra, Galaxy, and Nelson, but for me Nelson takes the cake.

I voted mosaic but it barely edges out citra and nelson for me.

Well, a little better. Not much. You simply cant include "down under" varieties and exclude Europe. It's just crazy! Embarrassing, frankly. Its like excluding France from talk of great wines.

Simcoe. No clue why this would have been left out of the poll.

Why isn't Cascade in the poll? What about noble hops?

Not at all. It's because noble hop verities and other european hop varieties are not used as much in american hoppy beers for the masses to understand more, such as all the "mosaic ipa", "all simcoe pale ale" that give the hop a nice showcase. Thus has not been done so much. We don't see "Fuggle double IPA" or "Saaz pale ale."
