Anybody know if there are any bottles left of In Absentia Luci at the brewery?

 

I'm psyched for the Saturday event. But Friday would be that much sooner. Anyone care to spill the beans?

 

Don't believe so unless some was held back

 

There is a another event next week with Barrier, Grim & Other Half at Hops Hill Seems like that would also be a good event.

Anyone get to try Make It Rain at Double Windsor last night? Curious if it's in the same vein of their recent juice bombs.

I had my first bottle of IAL last night and found it was really disappointing. The nose reminded me of rubbing alcohol and I found it boozy with little to no roasted malt/chocolate/coffee flavor that you'd expect from a stout. Anyone else have a similar experience? Curious if maybe it just needs more time in the bottle.

 

I didnt get any bottles, but had it on tap a few weeks back and i got all the flavors you are missing. I had to wait til it got pretty warm though, any chill on it and it was just meh, though still not rubbing alcohol.

 

Maybe there are issues with OH bottled stouts vs on draft? There were similar complaints with Orbit, which I thought was great on draft. I have an IAL bottle at home I might drink this weekend - will report back.

 

Been sitting on my IOL bottle because I have so many fresh hops in my fridge and I figure the more time the better for a RIS. Hope it's not an issue across all bottles.
