House Bier $7.99 a six pack at Julio's! Not sure this can be beat. 16oz cans to boot. For non-adjunt lager!

 

Wow!! I paid $10 per sixer at the brewery and I thought that was good.

 

Awesome. I figured Julios and Total Wine might charge that. Amazing value. I'll have to check Total Wine when I get back home from the hospital...busy welcoming my daughter into the world. And fittingly, when I get home I'm cracking a bottle of JA's Baby Maker that's been celaring for a couple years now.

Not sure if Julio's was a special price or it rang up wrong. Well worth $7.99 or $10. Honestly one of the best lagers I have tasted. Crisp, clean malty, bready taste. Absolutely no off aromas. Like adjunct lagers. Plus light hop bittners is present at the end because,no adjuncts are present to mess with the beer's flavor.

 

All JA 6pks are $7.99 at Julio's.

 

Anyone seen these in the North Shore yet? Redstones? Dare I ask Newburyport?

 

Supply from the first shipment of House cans was low, but there is another batch coming out next week. If your local does not have it yet, they should be able to get it soon.

 

Next round of BA Framinghammer bottles are scheduled for April.

If I had to take a guess, then I'd guess six: BBA, Coffee BBA, Mole BBA, Cocoa-Nut BBA, PB&J BBA, Vanilla BBA

 

What is mole?

 

From their site:
"Big, bold, black, and aged in bourbon barrels with cocoa nibs, coffee beans, chipotle peppers, vanilla beans, and whole cinnamon sticks. The lengthy conditioning period in the barrels creates a silky smooth chocolatey mouth feel enhanced by the use of oats and brown sugar during the brew process. Noticeable sweetness gets balanced by roasted malt and hop bitterness. Additional flavors include bourbon, oak, and spice."


Had on tap at JA a while back and it is delicious! Really excited for this to be bottled.

 

It's a traditional Mexican simmer sauce.

 

"a small burrowing insectivorous mammal with dark velvety fur, a long muzzle, and very small eyes."

 

I am going to try to work all of those words into a new description of the mole. Insectivorous may be a challenge, but I think it can work.

 

Is there an approximate date for when house lager cans will make there way to CT?

We're expecting Excess 4-pack cans to come to Boston sometime in March, right? Just picked up two sixers of House Lager, definitely going to be a fridge mainstay for me.
