Pliny the Younger in CO (2016)

Well it's plus an hour drive

 

I'd get there when you get there. If Younger is available great, if not have a hop chops or something then pick up some grub from Masterpiece Deli on the way to Cannonball Creek or Comrade or Station 26. Once there drink their hoppy beers and laugh about all the assholes that woke up early and stood in line to buy beer.

Was just there for lunch today and asked, but they said they haven't set a date yet.

 

Heard rumor it is next Sunday, Feb 28th. Trying to confirm to make plans. Any Intel appreciated.

 

Backcountry was great last year. Despite long lines, it was well-run and fast. Also hoping for the Kitchen again, but that tapped really quickly last year.

 

Falling Rock at 9:50 AM is 50+ deep in line if anyone was on the fence about going to today's tapping.

 

Got to FRTH about 10:15 and I have no idea how many ppl are here but I'm standing right in front of Beta. There's a lot of fucks here

Was 10:15 early enough for the first color? I'm heading over tomorrow morning and I want to gauge how early I should show up.

 

That should be well safe. Since there are many more tappings of PtY these days, it's not as crazy at any one place. I think last year I got there 30min prior to tapping and got a primary ticket. Then the crowd started rolling in.

 

I went to the FRTH yesterday. I got there around 9:45, and was 74 in line. I talked to a few people who got there closer to 11:00 and were still primary ticket holders. The biggest thing for getting there earlier is getting a seat. My wife and I ended up downstairs at a table without chairs. Overall, it was a very well run event.

 

It was yesterday. That's exactly what time I got there and got ticket #119, which was a primary ticket to get Younger

 

Just a heads up for those planning on attending the tapping at falling rock next weekend, everyone in line at 11 today got a pour. In fact, I was offered a second pour.

 

Today was a perfectly run event as usual. The FRTH has it down to a science now. Even if there were more people, they have the process streamlined so that time and space aren't wasted.

 

29 minutes from tap to kick.

 

Like everyone else said only need to get to FRTH if you want a table. Got a second pour after everybody in the entire place got one at 1pm.... so no real need to get there THAT early.

 

Last year was 19-21 minutes, but Chris had said it was the fastest he's ever seen it kick. It's actually quite an art form, he just pulls the handle and keeps it on while swapping out glasses once they fill.
