I will gladly send a sixer of that thin, watery, artificial mess in November if you really want it.

For what it is, it's not the worst price if you see it on the lower end of that scale. It's a cool concept to see the differences the beans can make. It's not a cheap beer to make either.

Yep. I'm assuming he's referring to Moo-hoo. You will be very VERY disappointed... Like you said crazy watered down. On the other hand, I am a big fan of Wake N Bake.

Epic brewing company is doing the same thing with their beer they're calling "little baptist." Cool trend!

Did the four pack side by side last night, found myself favoring the Sumatra by a hair over the Kona, with Guatemalan in third and Ethiopian fourth. I usually enjoy Ethiopian coffee but this one had the most overtly burnt, overly roasted character; that's not something I would have associated with Ethiopian based on (somewhat limited) past experience. Guatemalan was the most distinctive, with a black pepper finish and a certain fruitiness that in combination reminded of Pinot Noir.

    Reggie didn't have a preference:

I tried the Kona and Sumatra so far. I feel like they need a little more coffee flavor.

It's not bad but it is real pricey for a coffee stout that comes in at only 5.3 percent. The varieties are intriguing but fairly thin as stouts go.

Still good but I wish I split this with someone rather than dropping 16 for a 4 pack

You can trash a beer if you want, but there's nothing artificial in Moo-Hoo. That's the Liquid Bliss.

@Donco 5.7...really thin for a stout, but maybe its bc they want you to fully taste the coffee? I had the Kona 1st and it was really good.

Thanks Tilley4. It was really my wife, not Reggie, that did the tasting with me.
