The ABV cap could have very well been a reason Stone chose Virginia over Columbus, regardless if they will admit that or not.

I have also written my rep a few times about this issue.

 

Not if it's labeled at 12.4%. A variance is allowed but it's only +/- 0.3% and the label ABV can't exceed 12.0.

 

I know it's beside the point but Kbs is very easy to make a trade for if you really want it that bad

 

Stone's % of sales that involve beers over 12% abv would probably be less than 0.5% (if that). It was all about economics.

Flying Dog is launching these, which I'm sure we'll see in OH. Run for cover.

Ancho Lime Paradise Lager (May 15): Mild earthy spice invigorates a crisp, clean lager that finishes with a refreshing splash of lime.
Carolina Reaper Peach IPA (August 15): This recently-deemed “hottest pepper in the world” has a very slight sweetness that is met by fresh peach and bold juicy fruit hops.
Jalapeño White Ale (November 15): The fresh heat of the Jalapeño enhances the traditional Belgian wit elements of orange and coriander.

And on the heels of the Heat Series is Fever Dream Mango Habanero IPA, which will be a new year-round beer beginning March 1.

 

I don't know if anyone mentioned this, but Rhinegeist Cafe Ink is back out on shelves.

 

Lucky Owl is releasing Dank & Juicy Pale Ale at Flipside in Rocky River tonight. It's a new beer. Draft only. Should be pouring at Winter Warmer as well. I'll be up there around 5pm shaking hands and pretending I own the brewery

Their Retrofit Porter is tasty as well as Hop Falls (Citra & Columbus hops).

 

KBS will hit Ohio I believe. I heard Founders is working on a blend to make it 12.0%. I believe they are committed to making the extra effort for this to hit Ohio.

 

i hope they make a special label like they did when they removed the breakfast stout baby because of New Hampshire. Maybe remove the K and we have to call to have the K come back. I don't want any of this BS

 

Could be just me, but these all sound absolutely horrific.

 

Anyone know why dark penance price dropped? It's $4.99 for a 4 pack at a few stores east side of Cleveland.

 

Same in Michigan. They are just clearing out the inventory, new seasonals coming, etc.

 

It get it off.shelves seen lots of it sitting at 4.99 I'd buy at least 4 packs the price point before made it a once a year buy

 

I agree though I did see they put out kujo again will definitely buy a ton of it to drink and age a few

 

yeah, the Kujo coffee stout from Flying Dog was very good, especially fresh.

 

They have it at this price at Country Fresh Market in Anderson.

I was disappointed that I didnt have time to go to the convention center tonight when I was even in Cbus to try some Pineapple Bodhi, but then I popped a Ju Ju. Oh. My. God. It has to be as good as ever. Please bottle this semi annually.
