What do you think about that place? I go there with friends sometimes because its close by and I like the atmosphere (and they have amazing nachos),

I like their food a lot.

and at first I thought they had a decent tap list, but it seems like it never changes except for 1 or 2 taps

    I agree.

and I really question the freshness of the beer they serve. It seems like no matter what I order, nothing ever tastes right.

I never noticed this. In fact, some beers tasted better there than I remember.

I had a terrible Jai Alai there last weekend, but to be fair, the last Jai Alai I had before that was out of a 2 week old can and I thought that was terrible too.

William Jeffreys is a great example of a place that has 15 different ipas, but only 1 or 2 dark beer choices. Hawaiian Speedway is a massive improvement, though.

I like that place because it doesn't get too many douchebags, never is intolerably crowded, prices are reasonable, and the food is good. It is not a craft beer bar, but for not being one the selection is sufficient. I wish their service was better.

Port City Colossal Five in bottles, SMS and watermelon Dorado at k-1.

Drinking Jai Alai on draft at fireworks now and this beer has gone downhill fast. They kicked the Abraham and haven't tapped the sump yet.

Today at the brewery I had both A Small Town in Ontario & Deceiver, good stuff!

I left with a 64oz. growler of A Small Town in Ontario.

Downtown Crown is saying they are tapping some super secret special triple IPA tonight. All I know is that it's 10.8%. Anybody know what it is? My only guess is Talking Backwards from Ocelot or maybe Hopslam but neither is really exciting

Good to know! Was going to make a trip back there to pick it up. Probably doesn't need to be kept hidden!

I scooped up a bottle, but it definitely wasn't BA (receipt said so but it's definitely a regular bottle). Just a heads up, not sure why it's marked as BA in the store.

Not sure how this confusion arose, but I think some of it may come from the distributors. When the s.h.i.t. hit the stores, the guy at whole foods said he was told he was getting Black Tuesday.

Probably because of they outrageous price, they figured it must be barrel-aged.

Drinking another Small Town at home from a growler pour and I'm about to cry.

Guys can we just keep this as our little secret?

It's one of their own brews called Surprise, Surprise, Surprise. I think it is a collaboration with a local brewery. Not bad, and definitely worth a try for the price and abv. Ultimately, I had to get a glass of the Hi-Res because, well..

They also had bottles of Sump for 22.99.

Montgomery County is a strange place. Legally, it's not Talking Backwards. Just happens to be the same ABV and uses the same hops

But, it's going to be very hard to keep this a secret...

    Sump for $24? Dafaq?

10.8%, has to be Talking Backwards! So. Damn. Good.

Need to get to Aslin, wanted to go yesterday, but I had too much fun after the Duke win, and was exhausted yesterday and came home instead, can't make it next week, in NJ for work, but I will hit Carton for sure!

Wants to keep it a secret... immediately posts it on forum. Maybe Aslin will start canning soon and the DC area will have a Tree House situation on their hands.
