I can live without those fine purveyors of adjunct stouts...

I noticed those breweries not being there this year as well, but I think there are a handful there that I'm familiar with and look forward to drinking, but it's also an opportunity to try new stuff from breweries I am less familiar with.

I thought Transient was there last year, too. Was hoping they would be there, but it seems they will not.

Yeah, that's really the thing. I was blown away by stuff I didn't expect last year, which is the fun of it. Passed on '14 Prop because of how much good shit there was!

I'm all for trying the new stuff, but no way would I pass on '14 Prop! That is my favorite beer, though, so I'm a bit biased.

Full disclosure: Prop '14 is one of my favorites, too, but I had recently had an off bottle, so I wasn't in a rush to revisit. Had vanilla rye instead (which I only had one bottle of, because I didn't like it as much). Either way, BCBS is not what stood out to me, which is what I love about Stout Fest.

Maybe now that GI has bought the brewpub as well that this will be held at, they will bring every BCBS variant from past 5-6 years. Haha.

I also was impressed in the taps GI offered in addition to the Bc varients. Some really great beer they rolled out. Hoping to be as pleased this year.

That lineup doesn't look too bad. And too bad tickets for this event sold out fast. :slight_frown: Ah well....

I'd be happy with just Apple Brandy or Manhattan BCS again.

I've never had those, but they definitely don't sound like my kind of thing. But, stranger things have happened!

Has there been an official taplist provided for this event in the past, or do you just show up and enjoy the surprise of what's there?

    Manhattan BCS is/was amazing.
Show up and hope for a good draw.

Actually, Manhattan barrel-aged Might Meets Right (Temperance) was pretty fantastic at the last Stout Fest, so I could definitely see Manhattan BCS being awesome. Thanks for making me lust after I beer I probably won't ever drink.

Anytime I hear Manhattan associated with a beer now, I am reminded of PW's The Brown & Stirred, which was awful for my tastes. I realize they are different beers/styles, but it's just my knee jerk reaction!

I stayed away from that one for the exact reason that I wasn't sold on the style.

Yeah, I wasn't the biggest fan of that one either. But the BCS version was a completely different beer.

We're there! Just late filling out our registration...

Awesome news on the PW front...it'll be a great time even with the breweries listed, but I'll hold out a little hope a couple others were late with filling out registration as well.
