@PhillyTapFinder predicted that the first keg will be tapped in Philly on March 3rd. In past years their updates have been great if interested in the hunt.

True, whoever at The Full Pint wrote the list is likely not from our area.

And I noticed they put a big disclaimer on that list, I missed it when reading first time.

"Here is a list of places that may be getting Younger (confirmed events will be noted). As per Russian River Brewing’s Pliny blog, many establishments who have tapped Pliny the Younger have a strong probability of getting it again this year but it is NOT guaranteed."

 

I'm really hoping to get lucky and finally get to try PtY, I'll be in Philly March 11-13!

 

Has Blue Dog in Chalfont received it in the past few years? We went back in 2011 (I think) and it was a nice low key event.

 

One of these days I'll work out my schedule to be in Philly for a couple pours.

In the mean time, I'll enjoy Ocelot Brewing, in Dulles, VA, and their triple IPA called Talking Backwards, which is damn good.

 

Will have to make a trip to Philly for this! Mark your dates March 11 to 13..

i think i went in 2011. it was low key, all things considered.

 

for those who have had it, how would you compare pliny the younger to some of the NE ipa's

 

Its not that hazy, turbid IPA everyone has come to love but its still worth the wait for a 3oz pour if you've never had it. You wont see me in line for any Younger this year because the NE IPAs have completely ruined it for me. Ill be sitting inside my warm house most likley sipping on some sort of Trillium brew.

 

Any news on this?

just confirmed City Tap UCity as well. Should be getting a lot more over the next week.

 

What time would you guys recommend getting to monks for their tapping? I'm never gonna get it out of my system until I try it so I'm just gonna make a morning out of it and wait in line for a few hrs.
