Sunday morning stout

Snagged the last case at Links in Coopersburg yesturday.

 

Was in the Mechanicsburg Wegman's this morning and found they had a few 4-packs on the shelf. Was surprised to find it, so picked up one and left the rest for others to have. $14.99/pack

 

Cat is definitely out of the bag on this one, has flown out of NY stores

 

Any previous experience aging SMS? Just curious of time frame and results.

 

Yes. I (still) have 5 bottles left from last year's bunch (bottled 3/15). I love it with close to a year's age. Smooth and the bourbon/coffee melds really well.

I liked it better fresh, more booze but also more coffee. I had one from 2015 a month or so back and it was still awesome though.

Seeing a lot more in NNJ this year. Just stopped into a local store and they had 3 cases on the floor.

 

Been hunting this in Hudson county but everything on BeerMenus is a drive. Hoping it hangs around over the next few days.

 

It hit some stores in SJ shore area, but it's gone already... :-/

 

I actually just went back to the store that had 3 cases last night to grab some to age and they only had one 4-pack left.

 

Anyone see any kegs available this year?
