Except that they got to have Sunday Brunch while others may not have and are probably already home by now...but yeah, not wise in most other senses of the word.

I had no problem with the line. yeah it was long, but they had plenty of beer. Plus still had vengeful heart which i am very happy about.

Hop lab triple IPA and Holy Nights on tap made it extra worth it.

I think the only reason they announced the release a day prior was b/c they had alot and it gave people more time to plan travel. It was well handled.
To the people who think its unfair making us wait... how else do you want them to do it? You can never make everyone happy.

While it's insane I appreciate a day in advance notice. I live at the top of Jersey and it's hard for me on a moments notice to drop everything and drive an hour and 45 min to Kane to get bottles. And on some things they might be out. Hoping somehow this lasts Til next Saturday but I doubt it. Glad they are making more though so everyone can get some

Gotta say, Holy Nights on Nitro is amazing. Really makes the coconut pop.

Holy crap on pictures of the lines today. What's next are we gonna start lining up if they bottle a Pilsner. Funny thing is people probably would.

Those were only 2 of 4 photos. I skipped the front of the line and middle part.

To be fair, it's the base beer of arguably their two most popular offerings.

Vengeful Heart, which is a dynamite take on an American barleywine, is still in plentiful supply 22 operating hours after its release. Malus, which is a unique local source take on a Belgian Dark Strong, collects dust when released. Another unique take, Fall Saints, begs to be bought weeks after its release. It's not the brewery that creates the hysteria. It's the style of beer that creates the mayhem.

Because people are falling all over themselves for porters?

Sweet/milk/coffee/flavored porters? Yea people go crazy for them. Look at the funky buddha porter craze, people constantly look for those beers.

I always think of Barrel Aged _______
and brewery only IPAs when I think of stuff people are clamoring for. But you are right about Funky Buddha

    Obviously.

Neither Sunday Brunch nor Mexican Brunch are barrel aged yet they are so popular those kegs kick in less than an hour. Do you not recall the epic whine fest that happened last September when Kane released Sunday Brunch bottles? If they ever bottled Mexican Brunch it would be twice the headache this past ANTEAD release was for them. There were nearly 100 people standing in the parking lot at opening yesterday for a milk Porter with coffee. This is a beer which will likely be on tap at the brewery for multiple days over the next month.

You're right that a barrel adds hysteria. As does an exclusive IPA, of any tier. But so too can a porter. And so too can coffee. Kane has proven this repeatedly over the last nine months.

That is why I say start something like the Breury's Preservation/Hoarders society.
Mr. Kane just tell me where to send my check

Let's also not forget that Rook Coffee has a huge following around here. I know of some non-craft beer drinkers that went to get some Morning Bell just because they love Rook's product.

Glad i didn't head down to Kane today since the bottles were gone pretty quickly. Of course, it won't be too long til I'm down at Kane again. Love that place and love their beers.

Wow, to me it's insane that Vengeful Heart is still around while Morning Bell sold out in less than two days. No barley wine love these days?

I don't know to many people into barleywines. I personally love them but it doesn't seem to be a sought after style these days.

That's a suped up 17% aged in Cognac barrels so it is going to get some attention. A straight up barleywine will not even get close the love a porter with a little coffee added does
