I am having this beer as we speak for the first time, and it does INDEED meet the hype. Best ever? No, but it is way up there with my favorites of all time.

Bought a can, and for me it is the same syrupy sweet beer I remember as last year. Not my favorite type of DIPA, but to each thier own.

Picked up two six packs on 02/09/16, the first day that it was available in my area of South Florida. I actually got the first two six packs that came off the truck which was nice. This was my first time having Hopslam and I must say that it was a very tasty brew, but it was not as hoppy as I expected which is understandable considering it was first brewed in 2004. 18 days later this brew is already
beginning to fall off hard. Tastes to me like honey coated hops. Don't get me wrong it is still a very tasty brew but sweetness and maltiness is definitely not what I look for in an Imperial IPA. I'll be waiting patiently for this next year but will only be buying a single six pack, can't risk it aging more than two weeks.

I had Hopslam for the first time this year. I thought it was great. A sweet but smooth DIPA that had no alcohol taste. In my book a beer that
    Iives up to the hype.

Picked up a six pack of hopslam canned on 2 February. First time having this beer. Hides the alcohol very well, but does not live up to the hype for me.

$16.49 in my neck of the woods.

Unfortunately, one of the cans in my six pack leaked at the seam or somewhere.

Contacted Bell's, they are sending me a container and label to ship it back for inspection.

Unfortunately , they probably get all lines of fake claims, hoping they send out free beer..........

It's a good beer, but I don't get the pricepoint.

I don't even know how you can begin to compare them. JuJu is a total in your face hop bomb, while Hopslam is the perfect balance between malt and hops. Same style of beer but worlds apart in terms of intended delivery.

Perfect balance? Thats very subjective. Hopslam might be considered a syrupy mess by more seasoned IPA drinkers.

So is saying JuJu blows it out of the water. JuJu is good but there are many DIPAs that remind me of it or are just better. Hopslam is by no means the best, but there is not one other beer that remotely resembles it IMO, and that is why I look forward to it each year.

Possibly. They can have the can for nothing. They are paying shipping, that is all I ask. I'm not going to get bent out of shape over one can. If it was a whole six pack, I might be a little more concerned.

I wonder if they'll give you some complimentary beers to make up for the leaky one. Maybe a case of Black Note......
