I sent an email requesting Hive membership as that signup is closed. Then sent a request to join The Swarm as that is still open. Then saw the above link you posted and just went and paid the fee. haha. Not sure if they still need to approve me for The Swarm or if by paying that got me in automatically. Hoping it's the latter.

So they're keeping swarm members in the loop but not hive members :astonished:

SO I was lucky enough to try the Quince Sour at Bacchus on Sunday. It was quite tasty, and assuming it's the same beer that was on tap (a Bacchus and Plan Bee collab) we're in for a treat.

I'm a member of the Hive and I actually think Emily has done a great job with communication. We have to keep in mind that this is a two person operation. Evan is brewing. That leaves Emily to run the business. Based on her emails to date, I know there will soon be tasty beers for Hive members. That's all I need to know.

Yup, just noticed that. Do they mean their regular bottle shop or is there a "special members" one that I'm missing the link to?

Still not sure how the online bottle shop will know who is Hive and who is Swarm

just tried going to the shop on their website and its asking for a password. have no clue what the password is, but looks like that's where bottle sales will be...

if I understand correctly, their "regular" online bottleshop IS exclusive to members. But that's based on my memory from a prior email.

I'm not sure it matters -- I think the Hive gets a different (higher, possibly more exclusive?) base monthly allotment, but both groups have bottle shop access. Again, from memory.

Emily's e-mail to the Hive (from last night) mentions that extra bottles will go on sale in the online bottle ship tomorrow night (Wednesday, Feb 24th) at 6:30PM. I would assume that she will get the password to Hive and Swarm members before then?

I think there are some small differences that might matter. There has been some suggestion that bottle prices for Swarm members may vary based on the release, while the Hive is guaranteed $15/bottle "regardless of style". Also they have suggested a magnum release at some point down the road which would be initially exclusive to Hive. Exclusive access to buying additional Teku glasses. All small things, but enough that I think they will setup two versions of the online bottle shop.

I'd guess Emily will send out two passwords, one one each for Hive & Swarm to log in with. She could do individualized passwords, but that seems way too complicated. Shrug, we'll see what Emily sends us soon enough.

I just got a message back from Emily on the store. We will recieve a password tomorrow to acess the shop.
Don't think Hive and Swarm matter in the shop password wise since Hive has a set bottle list they will get every month. The shop is just a way for Swarm to purchase and the Hive to get extras if they want. But that is just a guess.

If I read correctly, we'll have a crack at Quince, Cross Pollination and Comb 2015, is that how everyone else interpreted it?

Yeah that's my read for this month, with the 2 bottle limit on Quince and 2 bottle set of Cross P.

So Hive members will receive Quince, Orchard, and Wild Rose in their February month box. Anybody know the allocation of the 6 bottles? I'm hoping 2:2:2 but it wasn't specified anywhere. Trying not to bombard Emily with questions. No matter what, I'll be happy as they all sound delicious.

Not quite correct........"There is no limit on the Cross Pollination bottles."

This is from the previous email. Again, just for Cross Pollination bottles. Two bottle limit otherwise.

I just meant that when you buy Cross Pollination, you are buying two 500ml bottles as a set; they are not sold singly. I did not mean to imply there was a limit on the number of sets you could buy. Apologies if I was unclear.

    @knicks19947, I'm also assuming/hoping it's 2:2:2. And yeah they all sound delicious!

It will be a good trial run to see how quickly everything sells out. Sounds like this month's yield are much smaller than what we'll see in March.
