They only distribute to a few stores in Columbus if they have cans left over after a release.

Looks like this release may also feature a farmhouse ale called blow it out in 750 ml bottles.

No distro on hoof beers. If there are extra cases from cannings, they'll send them around to some shops in Columbus, but if you wanted to score some cans without going to a canning release, your only option is to trade for them/find someone willing to accept cash

I love Trillium. Treehouse is very good, but not anything I go out of my way for.

I tried them both once, and that's enough for now... I'd love to try Trillium more since the asking price isn't as bad as Treehouse

Very true. Trillium is worthy of the praise they receive (in my opinion).

Especially with Nut Smasher out the same day I don't give a shit what they release, but I'll agree Tub Life doesn't interest me.

I haven't had anything from Treehouse, but if Trillium is better I will pass. Trillium is good but we get as good and better locally.

Just my opinion, though. I may be in the minority on that.

Maybe, but I heard from another guy that Green was the only one he was really blown away by; the others he could take or leave.

I have had a few Treehouse (Green, Julius, Haze, Alter Ego, Lights On, Eureka and probably another one or two) and a few Trillium the past few months... While good, I won't go out of my way for them. With Hoof doing the same juicy/turbid stuff as good, Treehouse is not worth the hassle of trading for or anything. At a point, these types of IPA's for me just get repetitive as they all share the same type of flavor profile so I get a little bored with them.

Haze is my favorite out of the bunch though from Treehouse, for sure. That is one that was a step above the rest for me.

Haze is my favorite Treehouse offering as well.

See, I think Green is a fantastic beer but won't trade for it any more as I've done it side-by-side with locals and it was just middle-tier among them. Julius on the other hand... give me all of that in and around my mouth. And Trillium just consistently rules.

All that said... I'm perfectly happy with Bodhi/Hoof Hearted/Fat Head's. I honestly think Ohio is the best state for IPAs now outside of New England.

Just goes to show how subjective it is. Three people I "know" and three different favorite beers from one brewery. I'm with you, but I take Ohio over anyone but California and maybe Oregon... the number of ipas made in those two states makes it hard to compare, even if you only take the great beers.

Exactly, subjective is the name of the game. I liked Everybody Wants Some Nelson, better than Dragonsaddle and Roller Blabe.

I also like trillium better than treehouse and HH. That said, I wish HH and more ohio breweries came to MI.
