Still see rumor of PtY at Backcountry this Sunday, Feb 28th - is it true?

When do tickets go on sail?

They won't. It's always first come, first served.

A dozen plus posts about logistics, length of the line, how smoothly the release went, how many pours one got, but nothing about the actual beer...?

Was good, not what I remember it though.

I enjoyed this one more than the last two years. Could be my tastes or could be minor differences in the beer. Not sure why, but I was particularly fond of this one. It was less dank and vegetal than last year. At least to me.
I think I liked it the most the early years. Probably because there was nothing else like it. Plus, it was an uber-whale back then, and we all know that a little hype goes a long way. I went through a period where I wasn't feeling it, but now I'm back to enjoying it again.

I think I'm going to miss it by a week. That sucks.

    Any spottings in Fort Collins?

BTW- I love how we don't have lines for beer releases here, aside from the obligatory Bourbon County lines.

Choice City Butcher, tickets go on sale in 10 minutes. Saw this on their facebook page.

I dunno about that. Pliny isn't so bad because you can't take it with you. We definitely have lines for anything people can trade.

I guess you never made it Casey in the "early days"... there were plenty of 4-5 hour lines

I meant in Fort Collins, unless they had releases here..

Tickets were sold this morning for a 4 o'clock tapping at choice city. I believe they said there will be a few pours besides the tickets sold, so you might be able to get one if you show up at 4

Edit: just saw someone else said this

I'm going to try and make it out to one more tapping this week but at the price point FRTH had it at, it's not worth it IMO ($9/6oz). Last Saturday was my first taste of the Younger and I thought it was good but not great. I'm gonna give it one more go and see if I enjoy it a little more the second time around.

It was good, but I think the booze got in the way. While the aroma was nice (a bit hot), the flavor just wasn't there. Feel was light, yet more balanced than previous versions. Finished "evaporatively" (TM)

Mayor tapped theirs yesterday. Better than last year, in my opinion. Really nicely balanced. Solid beer.

I did a few other DIPAs blind next to it. Maharaja was just as tasty, but just a bit too hot. Zwei's William Murray (!) was the best of the bunch. That is a hell of an IPA.
