    Curious if they bottle Evening Bell in 2016, let alone release it all, and if it dissipates as quickly as Morning Bell. Seeing as though it's the base beer (porter/no coffee) one would think no? However, perhaps they're choosing to release it after Morning Bell this year as a marketing strategy to drive up hype in some way.

    Then again, its quite possible I missed an early 2016 release or that its not being released all?

    Joe Canals in Woodbridge has the Hop Lab triple on their growler station.

    They also have SMS. You have to ask for it. Three 4 pack limit

    Head High, Single Fin and Solitude are also on tap.

    Also, Shop Rite in Wallington started filling growlers and has been having Carton and Kane most of the time, along with Brix City and Magnify. Need to check them out. Been a while since I have had Overhead and need to revisit.

    Their prices are high but they seem to somehow get a lot of special release stuff from Kane & Carton so you are paying for the convenience of not having to go down to the brewery (on a weekend) if you want those beers.

    They also have Carton's Grape Swisher right now. Even if it is a couple of bucks higher, it save's the hour plus trip back and forth. I am always okay with spending a couple of bucks to safe a half day.

    Anyone else think this years batch of morning bell has more of a sweet lactose presence and the coffee is a bit subdued compared to 15'? Still fantastic, but not the beer I fell in love with...

    I think this year's batch is pretty close to last year in terms of being coffee forward. Last year's version was a serious coffee bomb when compared to the previous batch. Last year was my favorite batch, but this new one is pretty close.

    @ArkyVaughan
    I never had the 14' vintage sadly, but I'm glad you brought that up. 15' is up their for me as maybe the best coffee forward beer I've ever had. To me, it was as potent as peche mortel. 16' seemed less expresso like, but still has a beautiful coffee flavor. It could just be bottle to bottle variation too. I have several more so I'll report back when I open another one up.

    We have two new beers on tap at the brewery this weekend:

    Last Contact
    Last Contact is our 7.8% Barrel Aged Sour Porter aged on Tart Cherries. We took a robust porter then aged it for over a year in neutral oak barrels, where it was able to pick up a pleasantly tart aroma and slightly sour notes. We then racked the beer into a stainless tank where it aged several additional months on tart cherries. The flavors and aromas of the cherries helped to accentuate the development of the tart, sour profile that began in the oak. The chocolate and roast character of the porter balances the sharpness of the cherries for a unique beer. Samples only.

    Harrow
    Harrow is our 7.2% interpretation of a French-style Biere de Mars. A Biere de Mars is an early spring seasonal traditionally brewed in the winter for the month of March. Munich, Dark Munich, and Abbey malts give this deep orange colored beer a toasty, biscuit base, while traditional German Hallertau hops provide bittering. Our house Belgian yeast lends a familiar character of fruity esters and hints of spice, while Citra hops from the Pacific Northwest lend an American twist. Growlers and Samples; Kegs to bars and restaurants in the coming weeks.

    Was in the tap room today. Got a pour of Morning Bell which was stellar and a pour of last contact which balanced the malty vinegar flavors with roastiness. Got a growler of Harrow as well and finished a growler of Triple tonight. Triple isn't quite on the level of the most recent AGE IMO but still very good. Also I found out that while last year's Morning Bell was brewed with Rook cold brew, this year saw coarse ground Sumatra beans added whole to the brew. Not sure at which stage. cool to see Kane experiment and tweak such a high level brew.
