We have a house in Vermont and go every July 4th. I always get some stuff, but this year the new Alchemist brewery may be open, so that would be a highlight. Will try to make a trip to see my parents in the South Carolina low country too, and score some Westbrook and Coast beers.

Going to Hawaii this summer. They should have beer there. Spending 3 days on Oahu this time before heading to the big island again. Not sure if there will be anything interesting beer wise on Oahu but if anyone has any tips I'm all ears.

Probably going back to Disney World. There is a fair amount of good beer to be had in that area now, at least outside the Magic Kingdom.

I live in Grand Rapids and work at a brewery, every day is like a beer dream vacation! Last summer I flew to San Diego and it was amazing, they have an excellent craft beer scene and I can't wait to go back! This summer I am flying to Seattle, then taking the train to Portland, from there I am driving to Pacific City. I plan on hitting every brewery I can (whether the wife likes it or not) Cheers!

My plans for this year as a whole are to hit up 25 new breweries (new to me at least), and am figuring that the majority of them will be hit this summer. A lot of the newer Twin Cities breweries are within walking distance of each other when the weather is nicer. I also plan on making the trip down to New Ulm, Minnesota to tour August Schell's Brewing Company and visit their museum. It will be my first time there.

I live on a lake in a State park, so I tend to vacation right here - sailing / kayaking / swimming etc - my "stay-cations" will include trips to my regulars like Hoppin' Frog, Thirsty Dog, Great Lakes, Fatheads etc...I do not need to travel far to get good fresh beer! Yea!

My daughter and I are talking though about a "father-daughter" trip to northern MI, to do a "kayak / brewery" tour we just read about....that would be cool...and I want to take her out to NoCal to see SF and some cool places out there...she will dig it!

Stay in Old Orchard Beach for 8 days. ( Just south of Portland, ME) Pedal bike to Biddeford, buy some beer. Like Banded Horn and Run of the Mill. Plus visit Barreled Souls. Pedal to Portland( 17 miles one way) Buy some beer. Like Rising Tide, maybe find some Marshall Wharf. I think Bissell is moving closer to the Port. Repeat as needed. Grill burgers/seafood. Watch sunset while drinking beer. Go shopping in Freeport on a cloudy day with my ladies. Hang at Maine beer and drink sample trays. Repeat as needed. Most important, spend at least 2 days wearing just bathing suit. And some days start drinking at 11 am. I hear wheat beers go with brunch. Set the bar high, yup.

Highly recommend the Schell's tour. The tasting after is also fun. When you're in New Ulm, there's lots of other things to see. Visit the Herman The German monument, and Domeier's German store is a must see, if it's open. Also, if it's not Sunday, a stop in Schmitt's meat market in Nicollet is a must stop.

Check for the Yardhouse if you don't have those near you. They are restaurants with quite a long beer selection for tap and bottle. I would also suggest Banger Brewing in the Fremont area. They were tasty and pretty cool when I went last year.

I'm going out to Maine, VT, NH and Boston this late spring for a couple weeks and plan to hit all I reasonably can when I get there. MBC, Hill Farmstead, get some Heady, and all the fun ones I never get out here in the other corner of the country.

Summer vacation beer plans? Well, if anyone wants to subsidize my travels, please do let me know:slight_smile:

Outside of that, especially with a baby on the way, I think we'll be traveling back to Northern Illinois to see family and will stop by some of my favorite - though probably very unknown - haunts like Carlyle Brewery, Pig Minds Brewing, and The Olympic Tavern. Gonna try to fit a New Glarus stop in as well...

We'll go back to Asheville, stay at the Haywood Park Hotel, not worry about beer and simply soak up the place.

Yardhouse and Banger are on my list. Public House is big on my list too. We'll be staying at the Mirage so Public House at the Venetian is right across the street. Fremont is going to be really fun I'm looking forward to checking it out.
