You and me are both probably in the minority because I think Trillium is way better than Tree House. Had quite a few from both breweries and would definitely take Trillium any day.

Preaching to the choir there! We hardly get any HH right here in Columbus- to my knowledge, the rest of Ohio pretty much never gets any.

With the amount of Cleveland folks that go down to Hoof for their canning events, I'm a little surprised they won't be bringing any beers to the Winter Warmer festival next Saturday. I remember hoping they would be there last year, but I guess I assumed they would go this year.

Interesting to see that the general consensus in this thread is that Trillium > Treehouse, I definitely disagree based on what I've had. I've also done side by sides with several Hoof beers and Treehouse beers and as much as I want the Hoof stuff to be better, the Treehouse, to my palate, is just on another level. Haze is also my least favorite of Treehouse's regular rotation IPAs.

Almost 2:30 and still tickets left for Tub Life, wonder if it's because of the style or because of the Nutsmasher event? I actually really liked this one when I had it in Columbus but hard to chose it over Willougby. Also looks like 3/13 for Blabe.

They aren't OCBA members so they aren't invited to pour at OCBA events.

Damn same weekend as Huna. I am destined to not enjoy a blabe canning.

It's not locked in but they commented that it's their target date right now.

I'm sure someone wouldn't mind switching you some HH for Huna:slight_smile:

So, I've been stalking this thread for the better part of 10 pages (highly entertaining--thank you everyone)...

...can any Hoof Hearted devotees recommend some options for me to seek out based on the following:
    1. I've had Roller Blabe and thought it was very good, but wasn't quite on par with my favorites (see #3) from Trillium and Tree House.
    2. I prefer Tree House to Trillium (and I've had 9 hoppy offerings from Trillium and 6 from TH)
    3. Julius is my favorite from either brewery, with Artaic and Haze coming not too far behind.
    Any recommendations?

Only IPA I've ever liked better than Julius was konkey dong. Everybody wants some Citra is very good as well

Konkey Dong seems to be the "fan favorite" from the people I have traded with that life right near Treehouse and all them... So probably that one.

And I just opened a can the other day and drinking better now than fresh (seems to be the case with most hoof beers though).

Yeah I just got a IP pre-trade set up! Works for me since we'll be getting 16 bottles.

As others have already said: Konkey Dong. Or if they ever can Wet When Slippery...

You would take Ohio over New England in an IPA comparison? That is a bold statement. Heady alone is one of my favorite beers of all time and from all reports, Treehouse is the brewery to beat all breweries right now. Can't wait to try Hoof, but that is a bold claim.

Bold but due to easy access being here adds some weight. I can any day of the week get week old or fresher White Rajah or Head Hunter. Bodhi, Hop juju, numerous hoof hearted releases and various other offerings from fatheads and brew kettle have spoiled the area. Heady Topper is really really good, but I was able to buy a case of Juju today instead of trading a barrel aged stout and paying for shipping so that adds some weight.
