Has anyone picked up their allocations at the tasting room without sending an email 24 hours prior to pick-up?

Yes. They'll do it, it just takes longer.

I think that the email pre-visit is more important for folks like me who only manage to come down once or twice a year. If you are regularly picking up the latest allocations I'm thinking it would be much smoother. The last time I came down with another Reservist they brought out a pallet to my car on a fork lift with something like 11 cases on it for the two of us (we'd emailed in advance so all of this was ready and waiting for us at the old tasting room).

^^ That makes sense. For me, it'll just be a few bottles so hopefully it shouldn't take too long.

The Provisions employees appreciate the heads-up either way. If they have any sort of customer activity on the day you go in there, looking around for your allocations is quite the stressful burden.

Send them an email, either way. They will definitely appreciate the heads-up, even if it's only for a few bottles, especially since your specific box could be hiding behind a stack of others.

Pick ups are no longer at Provisions.

I stopped in around 11 am today without emailing first. Nobody there as they aren't open for bev serving until 5. Was tempted to buy a few extra Oude Tarts from the reach-in.

Yesterday was the first time I sent the email in advance and I was quite impressed by how smoothly everything went. They had everything for me and 2 of my 3 trustees ready to go. Fastest pick up yet!

Did they go over everything that was there? I'm picking up tomorrow and don't want to leave shorted or extra'd

They offered to and I would suggest you take them up on it

I would highly suggest that you count your bottles. It's apparently easy for them to miscount, esp. when you're picking up for multiple people. I was shorted 3 bottles last time.

I haven't been shorted before, thankfully. I did come up with extra's once, not a huge deal returning them but being in SD it wasn't exactly easy either. I figure if extra's can happen so can shortages. Hoping that the new location pretty much solves any of these issues though.

Stopped by around 1 today and it was empty. I was only picking up 7 bottles so it wasn't a big deal to retrieve, but I could see how those with large orders or trustees for other people would be wise to email in advance.
