Liquor Locker on Broad St in Bloomfield. Usually not my favorite place as they are sometimes over-priced but convenient.

I got two bottles from Garys in Wayne, I had to ask for it from the back, i'm not sure how much they had left but I don't think much

bottle king in Wayne claims they are getting it tomorrow (Thursday) but that they have a wait list for it

I boycotted the Liquor Locker near my office, it's either Iselin or Edison, when they were charging $25 for a 12 oz bottle of BCBS 2 years ago. The owner was arrogant saying he didn't care if I didn't buy it.

OTOH, I stopped by Wegmans and Joe Canals in Iselin this morning. Wegmans only got one case, selling as 4-packs, limit of one. They have one more left. Canal's still has at least 3 cases behind the registers, selling in 4-packs, limit of 3 4-packs! He said they got 85 cases!

Yeah last year they had BCBS for $22 a bottle so I said forget it. Also, the IPAs in the mix and match 6-packs are on the shelves for close to a year so I stopped going. Only went back because I knew they get SMS in and at $16 for a 4-pack I could live with it.

Wegmans in Ocean got it (3 cases). No 'limits' per se but they are only putting out 2 4 packs at a time so technically that will be your limit

Alot of stores in Northern Monmouth (I was only between Long branch and Redbank) got it yesterday and a lot i visited only got 1 or 2 cases. stuff was selling out within an hour of the Hunterdon truck being there. I feel like it was easier to get last year. everywhere i went was selling full 4 packs with a 1 pack limit. cheapest i paid was $13.99 and most was $20

Just grabbed (2) 4 Pack's at Whole Foods in Paramus - that's the limit. You have to ask for it. $14.99 per. Not sure how much they had available.

You want to talk old, they had a bunch of English ales on the shelf dated as much as 16 years old. Since they were only $2 a bottle, I bought a couple of JW Lees Lagavulin that were 12 years old, and an Old Ale I can't remember that as 14 years old. The Old Ale wasn't terrible, but still a drain pour. The JW Lees were immaculate. They could have charged $100+ for those. I went back a week or two later, and they boxed them all up and got rid of them.

How did you know that they had it? Did they put a sign out?

No I was there the other day looking for it and they told me it was supposed to be coming in - so I called next day and they said it came in and that it was in the back and had to be asked for.

Around 6pm today, I asked if Sunday Morning Stout was available at Bottle King in Middletown, NJ, and a bottle was brought out to the register for me. The stock clerk told the cashier there was a "Limit 1" sign in the back room; I was asked if I still wanted the single. I said yes, and was met with a price of $14.99 -- the same amount I paid for a 4-pack there last year. I asked if that might be the 4-pack pricing, and my cashier paged her manager who confirmed that the $14.99/bottle pricing was right.

I apologized for slowing down the line, and asked to have only my Spellbound Porter rung-up. Could've been a miscommunication between front and back of store, but I guess I'll never know? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I would have walked out empty handed too much beer out there for this type of price gauging

It's Edison, I grew up down Oak Tree Road from there in Iselin. I never knew that place actually still got good beer. A buddy of mine got a bottle of Rochefort 6 with a few years of age from that store still at regular price, but I had no idea they still actually get good stuff haha.

With that said, am I the only one who finds SMS to be pretty good, but not quite as good as KBS?

Wut? My local beverage store has one that they are about to put on tap for growler fills and I had it on tap at a craft beer bar 2 weeks ago.
