Looks like a trade to me. Why would they put some of the most sought after beers in a mystery box?

So I understand the frustration, but a big part of me says if you pay $200 for a mystery box of beer you are taking a gamble that may or may not pay off. If it doesn't pay off, I honestly don't think you have a reason to bitch about it, and I certainly don't think the company is obligated to give you more beers to make you happy. I think its a class act that they sent you extra beer, but don't think there would be anything wrong if they didn't.

I also think anytime you buy a "mystery box" of 12 beers, the chances of you getting a couple stinkers is really high, but its not like this company sent you dogshit. I would not pay $200 for a mystery box of beer for many reasons that are quite obvious, but if I purchased a mystery box and 6 of the 12 beers in that box were these:

    Epic Big Bad Baptist
    Bruery Tart of Darkness
    Bruery BA Boise
    Firestone Double DBA
    Almanac Barrel Noir
    Clown Shoes Very Angry Beast

I'd actually be super impressed with the company.

    Just one man's opinion.

$200 down the drain? What the fuck do people expect? A Cantillon 750cc, two elite RR sours, a couple tasty Almanac FtB's, a Lolita which is a $30 beer. The companies not gonna send you a mix 12 of Fou and Lou Pepe series. So much for reasonable expectations.

fucking solid box if you ask me unless he lives in CA then I could see being a bit put off since most of them would be very accessible to him.

I can understand his disappointment then. Is it worth $200? I think so. Is it an exciting box for someone in CA? Nah. Is his reaction douchey? Yep. 'all this shit'? Give me a break - those are fucking outstanding beers. Local to you or not. Comes off spoiled as a *************.

Ovila at Sierra Nevada (I know on site is cheaper, but use this as scale) a few weeks ago was $2.50 a bottle.

So, a guy in California buys a mystery box of sour beers from a California based store. Receives mostly California sours and proceeds to cry about it on the internet. Who's the real moron here?
Seriously, What did you expect was going to happen?
