You guys sound like Huna traders. Yes, the price has gone up. The website also states that bottles are $14.99. So, they are saying the festival is worth $30 for food and beer. Whether you agree with now having to pay something for the festival or not is up to you.
I would say that the past liberations were a steal when the price didn't include the festival.

Lulz @ the wailing and gnashing of teeth over prices, but we've got no problem signing up for Bruery societies or Modern Times's new bit.

Haha, indeed! I'm actually the biggest cheapskate in the world and have trouble buying $8 bombers, so I'm otherwise on your side, I just find the concern so puzzling when there are other threads in this very subforum where folks are gushing over their chance to drop $35 a bottle. In any case, glad you still have your dollars...as do I:wink:

The problem with that reasoning is that they already have been charging additional for the "festival" as you call it. The Krieky Bones/ZinSkin liberation ended up being $216 after tax for 12 bottles. Those bottles were also listed as $14.99. So that was an additional $30 for the food and beer as well. For me, it's more that I have trouble paying $15 a bottle for Feral One when I'm paying $15 a bottle for Krieky and ZinSkin. I like Feral One but I don't think it's as good as either of those other beers.

I'm just gonna hold out for the Venice location to open and hope I stumble across BW beers on the shelf/in the fridge when I make it over there once in a while (every week?). I feel like every single release has hit the shelves later on at some point so…there's always a chance.

I've inquired and they considered making a membership program but are not prepared to take it on at this time, "perhaps in the future."

Same. Generally some leftover bottles hit Barrelworks/Paso after liberation and I think they keep some bottles and restock the shelves at the end of the year for the holidays. I went to Paso on Christmas Eve and they had Feral One Batch 2 for $15.99, also Feral Vinifera, Krieky Bones, SLOambic, Bretta Weisse, Agrestic, and El Gourdo but some of them upwards at $19.99 (FV, KB, and SLO). Jeffers also posted up a pic of Barrelworks inventory after the new year and they had a ton of bottles of different Barrelworks bottles for sale, and they also had more Parabajava.

The trend I noticed last year was that Feral One had the most food. Mainly because the theme is feral food and all that jazz. As the year went a long in liberations, the food sort of started getting scaled back little by little.

Got my Feral One tix in less than 15 seconds after clicking. Wonder how much the price point will drive people away from attending.

Well, I think two things will drive people from not buying

    A. It's only one bottle released
    B. It's Feral One - No Fruit = No Care, for most no money traders.

I am skipping and hoping to use that money for this liberation towards a fwibf ticket instead.

I got my ticket. This is their Anniversary party, the biggest production last year was their anni party. Those doughnut holes, that escargot... Just saying. I'm really looking forward to this release.

Yeah, I mean, it's a higher priced ticket, but the bottles are still $14.99 come the next day or whenever it is they put it on the shelf at paso and barrelworks. You get six bottles and the event/food itself comes out to about $30.

Last year's feral one had the best food, the biggest space capacity as it bled well into the dinning area. I'm looking forward to it.

It seems that people are sticking by the mind set of "no fruit, no care". I don't mind. Guess less people means smaller lines and more pours for thise of us that are going.

This is true. The party is worth the price of admission to me! They always pull out all the stops for their anniversary party.

I'm using the release party as an opportunity to explore central coast breweries a couple days in advance! first time at a FW event too

That Foie Gras in Bretta Rose Reduction sauce... holy shit, I'm drooling as we speak. I did a tower of those last go around. And yeah, those donut holes were amazing.

If people complain about the lack of "going all out" from the rest of the year's liberations, this one is the one that they put it all out there.

    Can't wait!
