It probably wouldn't be worth it to me if I weren't also able to spend that time with friends.

Edit: Another +1 for blending. If it creates complexity and balance in lambics, why not employ that method with stouts and the like as well?

I appreciate this thread very much. I'm a glass half full kinda guy, you see. What this thread tells me is not to go to Holy Mountain on Saturday. Last weekend, I used the Open House list of breweries to know which ones to avoid as my wife, dog, and I were looking for a place to have a couple of pints. The posted list was very helpful.

While I might be interested in trying Midnight Still, as I'm a fan of HM, I will not stand in a long line to do so or deal with the crowd to get a taste from the tap. Oh, well. Glad I've been cured of my FOMO. And that cure is another really tasty beverage at a place in any number of excellent establishments around our fair city.

Cheers, my fine friends. Keep up the good work. I can always count on you all to point me in the right direction.

If you don't want bottles, you could show up at noon for a pour of Midnight Still. Two separate lines and I doubt anyone willing to stand in line would choose the draft line over the bottle line.

^^^ Exactly. @BuckeyeOne, if you just want to have it on draft then show up at noon, or even a little after. You're not going to have more than a 3-5 minute wait to get a beer. Show up at noon if you want a seat though. By 1215-1230 I imagine most seats will be taken.

I have no delusions of not standing in the taproom while I drink.

I'll just stop in on Monday after work for my normal quiet experience while I talk with the bar staff.

I think you two must have skimmed over the following statement of mine: "I will not...deal with the crowd to get a taste from the tap."

Yeah. I thanked him for ruining E9 for us and creating Tacoma mules on Twitter.

Now their bottles that I pick up on my semi-monthly visits won't be waiting for me.

You going to be bringing anything to the line bottle share? A keg of the best barrel of the most recent BBomb?

Sounds like a bicycle ride might be in order to check out the line. But, I'll probably stop by next week and enjoy a relaxing drink after work rather than fight today's mayhem.

Aged in 13-year old Elijah Craig barrels? Ha, that will soon change since Elijah Craig bourbon is removing the 12-year age statements from the front AND back labels, and is now blending 8-12 year barrels to release a younger whiskey, probably with something like "gracefully or artfully aged" on the label.

I'm in town visiting. If I was to stop by at lets say around 2, should I expect a line? Mainly just looking for a couple of bottles for my friends and me.

I'll probably skip if if there is more than a 10 minute wait - I hate waiting in line for beer.

This is pure speculation on my part, but my guess is that if you arrived at 2, you could probably expect to be shut out of bottles, and maybe even draft. I don't wish to deter you, because I could well be wrong; but if you're averse to beer lines, like me, this is definitely a release to skip.

I'm in line, it's not that bad. Kinda reminds me of waiting at Disneyland last week.

Does this mean there's a FASTPASS for beer lines?

Line is LONG. Bottle share people won't scoot up so its down the street farther than it should be.
