Half Acre Coming to NYC!

Don't know if anyone cares but there's about 2 cases of GoneAway left and more than 3 cases of Pony as of 2pm. Everything is still on tap, nothing kicked.

 

Yeah grabbed a 4pk of GoneAway and growler of Daisy Cutter pretty much at opening today...

 

What's the canning date for your GoneAway? Curious how fresh they were able to get it out there. Probably my favorite beer of theirs. Hope you enjoy it!

 

@Kanger it just dawned on me that I think your avatar is Popeye's in Tokyo right? If so, pretty stellar place. Went last summer. Hopefully you've been able to hit Sushi Sawada (way better than Jiro IMO, albeit different).

 

Iirc, 2/11/16 was stamped on the bottom of the cans. Pretty fresh.

 

Very nice & good to hear. Even more fresh than what I see around my area stores. I wonder if they've just been focusing on the NY drop the last couple of weeks then. Hopefully you guys see Vallejo when it's in season as it's another great IPA from them. Cheers!

Actually my last trip to Tokyo I didn't eat any sushi. I was on the hunt for great tsukemen.

Half Acre dropping all over today, it seems. Grabbed a 4-pack of Daisy Cutter. Definitely one of the tastier 5ish% PAs I've had. Super fresh, super dank.

 

May I ask where? I was thinking of heading into the city after work to try to grab some Half Acre cans tonight but don't know where to start. Only Brooklyn on Beermenus from what I can tell.

 

I was in City Swiggers on 86th Street last night & they had cases of Half Acre right up front. It caught my eye as something new that I didn't know about, which is why I was just looking at this thread now. They had three different labels IIRC; Daisy Cutter & two others. Sorry I don't know the other two.

 

Looks like the others being released in cans in the city are Gone Away IPA and Pony Pilsner.

Uptown is a hike for me but I'll check around, thanks!

 

Yeah, sorry, I live in Brooklyn and saw it all around. That said, a few Manhattan places appear to have as well, and it hit Brooklyn all at once (so I somewhat assumed the same would be happening for Manhattan).

Anyone know if WF is going to be stocking Half Acre?

 

Tribeca has it posted on beermenus, and I was told Chelsea would see it, so probably all WF. Apparently I picked a bad day to stay home in NJ with my sick 8 year old.

 

MisoHoppy had cans of Goneaway and Daisy cutter as of yesterday. Goneaway was pretty good.

 

WF Tribeca has 1 4pk limit on Daisy Cutter; can date 2/17

 

Goneaway fan here...very nice to find some cans for the house

 

Any sense of how much they had? Is this something I should leave work for or can I get it after work?
