Sounds like Shorts will start Ohio distribution in March!

CBC restaurant, while bizarrely not affiliated with Columbus Brewing, does indeed have great food.

I agree... Weird relationship (or lack of), but the food was great at CBC.

How can they use the name CBC without be affiliated with Columbus Brewing? Does CBC stand for something else? Cocks Beer and Cocaine?

No idea, but it's plainly called "Columbus Brewing Company". Have no clue on the details of the name usage.

Cameron Mitchell is the company behind the restaurant. Wanted open a brewpub atmosphere restaurant and license the name through the brewery. CBC is no longer the brewery there as about a month ago and Smokehouse brewing's non profit Common Place is now brewing there. <----Excited for this.

I like the food and the tap list can be hit or miss. Once Common Place has beers to shoot out I'm curious how they'll change the theme of the restaurant. They have signs that say #bodhiup and have posters of beers CBC no longer brews such as the apricot ale.

CBC doesn't favor them that's for sure. If you want CBC beers bob's bar is a good bet but a drive. You're so close to barley's and it's one of my favorite places to eat and and drink. Get the wings if you do go to Barley's.

^^ Tony Corder from CBC has come here and explained a few times. The issue clearly goes back a few years.

"Here it is, for those who don't know: CBC Restaurant has NOTHING to do with Columbus Brewing Co. They are simply able to use the name due to a line in their original lease. The brewery has NOTHING to do with what they pour, when they pour it, etc. They buy kegs from distributors the same way any bar does down the street. It is a quite bothersome situation for the brewery to be in. For anyone who has been to the restaurant, you haven't actually been to Columbus Brewing. The brewery has no taproom of any kind.

Columbus Brewing WILL be opening a taproom in the new brewery. In addition to the beers you would expect to find, it will feature taproom only exclusive brews from the pilot system and beer will be presented/represented the way we feel it should be. We are all beyond excited to finally have this opportunity. Any further comment would be inappropriate at this time. There are lawyers involved."

Yes that list must be for the restaurant, which has twelve handles, but it's also old. I sincerely apologize, I don't update the website and didn't realize it wasn't more reflective of our offerings. The taproom has 20 house beers on. Off the top of my head you can currently find: Cream ale, Creamsicle Cream Ale, Coffee Vanilla Cream Ale, Session IPA, Grapefruit Session, IPA, DIPA, DIPA with coconut, Rauchbier, Helles Lager, Doppelbock, Imperial Stout, Milk Stout, ESB. I'm missing six more. Hope that helps!

That Grapefruit Session IPA was so killer at Winter Warmer last year.

Yeah I had three tonight at the taphouse... Incredible stuff... I prefer it over the juicy head hunter for sure. Damn near perfect beer!

They also allowed growler fills so I got one of those as well to go. Nice way to start the weekend!

The BA Up in Smoke Porter also blew my mind. Head Hunter also was drinking oh so nice. Lots o' 5's today at good ole Fat Heads.

Yeah I almost decided to bring it again but went with changing it up instead. Three versions of Dire Wolf to track down though...

I want to say they still were on their first keg yesterday... We left at around 8:45pm or so.

They have three kegs total. I will guess that it will at least make it through today.

I've never had the super juicy before - any chance it makes it to tomorrow afternoon? I was thinking about stopping there after the Nutsmasher release. Are they close to one another?
