Well.... How much is a bottle of Speedway again?
That's a pretty damn good non-BA imp. stout with coffee. :grinning: (No sarcasm) :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, I was thinking 20 and 30, so it balances out.

Got my email with priority sale info so if you donated, you should have instructions/codes.

I got my codes, too. Pretty easy for other people to deduce, if one wanted to play a prank.

My laughing about "aggressive pricing" is that it seems a very nice way to word it. [grin]

In the future, please be more straightforward with your commentary ... this is NOT the he deep end of the pool as far as beer communities go.

Yeah, but Xul is about as brain trust here as you can get.

Yeah, going to suggest they change it up a bit in the future to something a bit more random.

Indeed. Normal Speedway is $12 - $14/750ml and as far as I can tell, the only difference here is the addition of espresso. Beer Geek Speedway was expensive because of the Kopi and collab factors, Imperial .394 was expensive because of the "fund the museum" factor, Hawaiian was expensive because coconut + vanilla + specialty coffee...I'm struggling to find a reason for HHSS being $22. I'll admit up front, I'm going to buy my three bottles so I'm more curious that angry, but I hope this isn't a sign of things to come. It would be an unwelcome change from a brewery that has generally kept their pricing on the reasonable side.

I could've read the "LOL" three or four different ways so I figured I'd ask before running my mouth.

I must be not that bright because your post got me curious, but my obvious guesses of "19" (for Tony Gwynn), "Hammerhead," "Speedway," "Alesmith" didn't do it. Wasn't going to buy until Monday, but curious if it would truly be obvious. No obvious enough apparently.

Trying to buy mine online today, will be bringing home in a suitcase in a few weeks. Doubt I'll have room for more than 3-4 bottles total. Definitely getting one of each to start, but not sure which to grab an extra bottle or two of. Thoughts from the locals on the relative merits of the two options? Has alesmith done a port beer before?

Based on the choices this time I would say to max out on hammerhead and then use the rest of the space for 1-2 port wee heavy bottles. Also based on the bottle limits I am going to expect the port wee heavy to sit and not sell out, which means that bottles would then be for sale on site in their gift shop area. Hopefully this helps your decision a bit. It is all speculative but it is what happened to Reforged and the BA Olde Ale last year.

pretty much this, Wee Heavy seems to just sit. People want adjunct Speedways.

Buy the one that sounds better based on the description and your style preferences?

They must've accidentally opened it up switching it from the presale to regular sale setup.
