I've never been to an OH release, but I am in NYC this weekend for a short trip and learned they're doing one tomorrow. How crazy do these get usually, i.e. how early would I need to get there to grab a couple of 4-packs? My flight gets in around 7:30 am, but I think the earliest I could make it there is 9 am or so.

 

If you are there by 11, you should get some. But between 2 bottles also being released and NYC beer week, who knows.

If you go tomorrow, let me know. I should be there around 8:30. Would be great to get a handshake tick with a fellow BA and Newbie BIF'er.

 

I'm also here on vacation, I'm from Ohio. come up and say hi to me in line, I'll be wearing a hoof hearted shirt. brought a few cans of EWS citra with me, planning on giving them out to people at the release

 

As usual, I'm up way too early. Couldn't sleep. Guess I should just wait in line now.

 

Any status update on what the line is looking like?

 

Same here. Wish there was a web cam of the line to see if I need to leave now.

Just got here. About half way down the 2nd block.

 

2 hours before opening and well over200 people in line. I figured I'd be on the same street as the brewery at this time. Other Half is getting ridiculous

 

Very close to starting the third block. Ten more people and we'll be there. Open early!

 

Anyone know if they are handing out wristbands?

 

With the cold weather I had a bit of hope, back to bed now

 

Not yet at least. Seems to be some cutting up ahead too.

EDIT: Bracelets being handed out right now (9 am).

 

Has other half gotten any better with moving the line along quickly? I was considering heading down today, but am still shellshocked from street green.

 

With the rate of people showing up I would expect them to lower the limits on cans. They've done this for multiple releases when they ended up having a bigger turnout than expected (Street Green,Suparillo,etc)

 

Heading over there, should be in the line at 9:30.
