Calumet Queen just released at the pub, $5 for a 22oz bomber. Looks like these special Tuesday releases will be a weekly thing now.

    The new label:

While I do agree on price it is a Kolsch with a relatively "meh" score at the moment. I thought it was ok last year, but nothing special. Anyone tried this year's batch yet?

That being said, if I was in the mood to pick up a Kolsch then this bomber is certainly at a nice price point.

I thought it was just 'ok' for what it was. Kudos for FFF pricing it at $5, which should move more of the product by the end of summer.

The only memorable item of note from having a glass of this year's batch was my girlfriend stating that the beer was 'meh' and smelled like dirty socks. Enjoy everyone!

i had it a few weeks ago. or whenever risgoop was released in bottles. definitely meh. i wouldn't go out of the way to score some unless you lived fairly close and haven't had it.

    Pass. Even at 5 dollars.

I would maybe consider buying 219 at 5 dollars (to list something somewhat comparable) but i am just not a fan of bombers overall. Would rather have a sixer of Dust or Alpha at 10 dlrs than 2 "cheap" bombers of mediocrity.

FFF bomber for $5? Must be an empty bottle with a crack in it and three letter F's written on it with a sharpie :grimacing:

A decent extra at the very most IMO...fingers crossed for BA Ice Grille in the near future. Not getting my hopes up though

My guess is that Topless Wytch is next...however it very well could be another BA beer...

Based on the label approvals that came through a while back, I'd venture to guess that Topless Wytch will be the next non barrel aged release from Three Floyds.

While we are all making requests, I'll throw a vote in for Drunk Monk which is one of the best American hefeweizens I've ever had (up there with Dancing Man, Live Oak, etc...).

    Cheers!

For a minute (o.k.... for a LONG time) I thought you just typed too quickly and missed the "3" before the "5"

$5 bomber.... FFF is coming back to Earth it seems.

Frankly, FFF bombers and 6 packs get a bad rap for being too pricey. Yes, their BA beers can be expensive, but their bombers aren't out of line when compared with other breweries. Plenty of breweries charge around $10 for a DIPA bomber like Dread and APW, and there are a lot of monthly/special releases that are $7 or $8 and few exceed $10 except Behemoth which is $12 (if memory serves me correctly), but that's certainly in the ballpark of most barleywines. Not to mention the prices at the brewpub include sales tax. Are the prices bargains like Lagunitas, for example? Certainly not. Are they fair? Absolutely, yes.

Dwarven Hammer! I want more of this one. The Creeper would be nice, too.

They also just had a new batch of Dreadnaught that was released on Tuesday morning...which I was more excited about that Calumet Queen when I was at the brewery. 1 hr old Dreadnaught is pretty freakin delicious.
