Not saying this is the case but just throwing this out there: I always arrive very early to all the OH releases. Roughly 7am, I wait for 3 hours, get beer, go home. Do I like getting up early and waiting on line? Nope. I do it because I like OH and I have work on Saturdays. The closer I am to the front of the line the faster I can be in and then out. Yes I know this is all my choice. So they may want to just get their bottles and leave before the general chaos. Ya never know...

Ok, so it is very slow queueing. Sounds like more than normal, but not unruly.

It's on tap around the city quite a bit. I had a pour at Fool's Gold, Bar Great Harry and St. Gambrinus. BGH also had the 2014 BA BQE.

I'll be there at one. Might just go inside for a glass of beer first before waiting on line, assuming it is around 50 ppl. Does anyone know the quantity of bottles?

I'll be the moron wearing shorts and a t-shirt. Feel free to say hello, punch me in the face if I've offended you in the past, etc.

It appears that the ignorant and entitled crowd has moved from Other Half to Finback releases. We get there at 11am this morning, and are probably 30th or so in line. A dude shows up just before noon and comes up to the group in front of us, assuming to join them. We give it 10 minutes or so and finally @kjrod20 says "hey man, you're going to go to the back of the line for the release, right?" The guy gets all defensive, as do his friends "oh i'm sorry I got here a little late" "I just want to stand with my friends" "you're still going to get your allotment, what do you care?" Um, it's not about me. It's common courtesy... how is that hard to understand? You can stand wherever you want, go take a place in line based on when you got here and come and go as you please. The two girls behind me had friends in the front of the line. They dropped their bags off, went to hang out with their friends, and came back when the dpors opened. Not difficult. So this douche cops a huge attitude with us, and I'm honestly awestruck that someone thinks this is ok at this point but it's useless to argue with ignorant people, as I learned. He makes a huge deal and storms to the back of the line, sarcastically apologizing to the people in line behind us for cutting them...... only to find other friends further ahead in the line than us to cut in front of. He ended up one of the first people to get beers. How is this okay? Also, who acts this way? Who thinks they're that entitled that they need to cut in front of other people? Shit like this makes me hate the beer community and having to deal with entitled assholes like this. I love these releases and have met some amazing people this way, but assholes like this ruin it for the rest of us.

Ugh, that sucks. I'm happy I can go to a nearby supermarket, pay a quarter for the meter, pick-up bottles from another local NY brewery and do some grocery shopping while I'm at it and be on my way. But I prefer to hangout at the brewery without a pushy crowd and leave with some growlers.

Looks like another brewery to avoid on weekends.

I will say, at the end of the day, we got our allotment and everything worked out fine. But we went early to ensure getting bourbon BA BQE since we were unable to hit the initial release, and without knowing how much they had, of course we were pissed that people were jumping the line. Of course, people shouldn't jump the line in any case, but some people are just terrible ME ME ME humans.

Eh, honestly don't let one person ruin it for you. At the end of the day we sat outside in the sun waiting for beers, and Finback is well run so the line didn't take forever. It didn't sour my experience with the brewery at all, it just sucks that there are adults that act like this. The majority of people I've met at similar releases were great - but you can't win them all.

From untappd check-ins looks like illegal drinking in NYC streets is rampant too.
