...waiting for the Homie that says to hit Hoof Hearted or Jackie O's because it's their favorite brewpub and "it's not that far away."

Huge fan of brew kettle smokehouse wings but fatheads smokehouse wings might be better...

I'd say Fat Head's is the #1 destination imo.. Great Lakes is definitely worth a stop, especially for a beer geek who is visiting the area.. Ohio City has alot of cool spots.. Town Hall is really nice, as mentioned.. and The Brew Kettle brews some good beers and always has a solid tap list, it's not far from Fat Head's as mentioned..

"Its not even LIKE that far away."

"Like an hour passed Hoppin Frog."

"Yeah right by Columbus" (Jackie O's)

Re bottle shops, I was only there once several years ago, but Lilly's Chocolates in Tremont had a pretty good beer selection and would be closer than Lizardville. I'm guessing they have plenty of local Ohio beers, and they do sell singles.

    Plus, their chocolates are tremendous.

Lilly's has like 100 beers. Lizardville has over 750. And the selection (and rare stuff) isn't even close.

Their chocolates are great though. Still, not a substitution for LVille.

Good points, except Lilly's would be closer for Jason if he's in downtown Cle and hitting Ohio City/Tremont.

Oddly enough, the Fat Head's in Portland, OR was within my top three places we went to during CBC week last April.

You should post this in the PDX forum and watch their heads go blammo...

Lilly's selection these days is pretty lackluster.

Other than the usual suspects already listed Platform and Butcher & the Brewer is a must in my opinion.

If you venture down south a little to Akron there is also Hoppin Frog, Thirsty Dog, and a hidden gem R. Shea Brewing

Maybe for a homie, but Todd is looking for beers that he can't get in MA. I would think Lilly's would have plenty of locals and out-of-states that aren't available in the NE.

Isn't that an expensive round trip from downtown Cle to Akron with Uber?

Its about $45 one way. If there's more than one person to split it with, its not too unreasonable.
I was just throwing some names out there. If i'm flying to a state specifically for beer a 45 minute drive
for some of the better stuff isn't going to stop me. That being said, Cleveland has plenty of breweries to keep
anyone busy. But if someone has time, Akron has some great beer. Of course, there's always Hoof Hearted and Jackie O's too......

$90 round trip to visit three breweries isn't unreasonable!? You certainly have more disposable income than I do.

Plus, he said it's an overnighter. Cleveland to Akron is going to be about 45 minutes one way in good traffic. So he's killing about 1 1/2+ hours at least just in drive time out of a roughly 24 hour visit??

Yeah, I wouldn't go to Akron and I wouldn't go to Lilly's. They have a tiny selection by comparison to Lizardville with upcharges on most items. Plus, they are looking for bars. That place is a chocolate shop. Not a bar.

Actually, Jason didn't limit his queries to just bars:
"Still looking at list and taking all of the feedback in, thanks for that.
What beer bars have the best "local" OH beer selection in the immediate Cleveland area?"

    However comma:
"Just looking for suggestions in the immediate Cleveland area."
