Has anyone else heard about this? Some guy (I know, very reliable) told me yesterday that they were working out a distribution deal here in CO. It would be nice to have some Freak of Nature here in the centennial state!!!
There was a banner flying with CSA during GABF. It listed all of these new breweries we're getting distro for, anyone see it?
Good to hear! I doubt we'll get much of their highly sought after wilds and sours, but their more traditional offerings are all pretty tasty...
Are you shitting me? Damn our distro is best in the country. Wicked weed has some of the best sours and some damn fine ipas imo. That's exciting!
With all the amazing breweries we have been getting courtesy of CSA lately, this would follow suit. And I will be so FREAKing pumped to have their beers here. One of my favorite breweries I have ever been to
Yes please. Oh, and it's kind of under the radar, but Funkwerks collaborated with WW on a beer called "Deux Funk" and it was just released last week. It's a blend of kettle-soured and barrel-soured beers with 3 fruits.
It was just for GABF, but it did show who CSA had relationships with and gave us some insight into who we may be getting in the future... Some of which we have!
When my dad retired to the Asheville area a few years ago, he kept telling me about this place and how great their beers were. Now they seem to be one the hottest regional breweries in the country. So glad to have been able to visit their taproom and Funkatorium a few times. Not the biggest fan of sours, but its clear they are well made, whether I like them or not
Won't necessarily be CSA; they are speaking with different distributors and haven't come to a final decision, as far as I know. Unrelated but sort of related, I recently had their French Toast imperial stout aaaaand it was awesome. I welcome the Wicked Weed with open arms.
