    Per their FB page:

It is hard to believe it has been 10 years, since we first released Scotty Karate Scotch Ale!!! What better way to celebrate the decade than to release a Bourbon Barrel Aged edition of this mighty fine Scotch Ale!!!

We will be releasing it at the General Store in bottles and will have it in on draft at the Taproom on Saturday, March 12th at 11am.

    Availability: 576 cases
    Limits: 1 case per person
    Pricing: $16.99 a 4 pack/$100 a case out the door

BBA Scotty Karate Scotch Ale will also be a limited market-wide release, so look for it soon at your favorite bottle shop or beer bar.

Bummer I'll miss out on the release, I'm a huge fan of this beer. Looks like a small amount will hit distro that hopefully I can snag some then.

Saw that posted up, I was intrigued by it, but have plans that day.

I hope it is really good, but most of their limited barrel aged beers seem really light on the barrel to me. Almost no bump in ABV usually either (i guess that is a good post for another time, why it goes either way).

Scotty is great on its own, so we'll see where this ends up.

I'm happy to read that this will get at least some distribution. I hope this marks a trend.

I'd much rather take my chances I'll run across a couple bottles at my local shop than devote half my Saturday to the chance of getting some.

Coincidence that this is on the same day as the KBS release party?

I would hope those that do drive down get some as they have enough for 576 people to buy their max. On a day where these is no extra party etc. But with releases anymore, who knows.

Went to the BBA Tres Blueberry Release Feb 20th got there half hour before the release maybe 60 people in line and only 221 cases and there were still five cases last Wednesday in the General Store was hoping this release would fly under the radar like the Tres Blueberry. Tres Blueberry was 7.8% but has more barrel than most of the Odd Sides releases this fall and winter looking forward to another smooth release from Dark Horse.

I was wondering how long that lasted.

I picked up a case of Tres Blueberry and kept 16 bottles for myself. The two bottles that I have consumed so far barely had any barrel influence whatsoever. Does anyone know if they barrel aged Tres Blueberry is a second use barrel? And while I'm asking, does anyone know if the barrel aged Scotty Karate utilizes a second use barrel as well?

Now all we need is a surprise black note release on the same day.

That was my thought on barrel aged tres. I picked it up the year before. If placed next to regular, I don't know if i could tell you which was which.

I like the timing of this. Getting my KBS bottles Friday and going to the share but not going to Founders on Saturday. This should easily be there whenever my hungover ass can get there.

Nice to see that BBA Tres may still be available and that it's apparently not all that great. No need to trade for it.

We went to the General Store on Friday and there were nine cases of BB Tres. Looks like there's not a shortage and they're pulling cases over from the warehouse when needed. I'm hoping that the BB Scotty has more barrel than this latest batch of BB Tres.

I drove by on Saturday and didn't even think about stopping by. Didn't even occur to me they might have some left. I don't think I am heading that way anytime soon though to grab a pack of scotty.

Maybe their releases (minus 4 elf) are starting to tone down a bit. Tres was gone same day by like 4:00 last year and limit was 2 packs.
